  1. Hi Dell, i have noticed my car gets about 5% better mpg when using shell's E10 over a supermarket E10, i would say about 7-8% better when using E5 shell and slightly better pick up. But i think the optimum money v economy v pick up is Shell Standard E10. KR Vishi
  2. 56mpg impressive, do you use premium fuel. Regarding Sat Nav, it goes for the fastest option at the time. NX300h AWD only averages 38mpg in town and about 43 on a combined run. If you can get apple car play, i think its a retrofit, maybe available for a 2017 at ur lexus dealership, u could apple car/android auto waze to ur infortainment. Waze is very good tells u about broken down cars and the police, as well as speed cameras and mobile cameras.
  3. 2.5l NX's are in high demand on the used market, second fastest selling car (NX350h) and used 2018-19 models with 20k miles should fetch around 24k+ about 29k ish for a takumi, you couldn't buy a 2019 hybrid yaris for 9k with 20k miles on it. Report to FB, if you want, to stop people from getting scammed. or it could be 9k deposit- finance rest sort of thing. Or some sites not sure how fb mplace works charge listing based on value on car, so these lot put the real price in the description. Stick to Autotrader and reputable dealers, always HPI check, if you are paying a deposit, only pay with a credit card (the deposit, if everything checks out), any one not allowing credit card (retailers) are probably best to stay away from Stay safe out there! Theres a lot of these scams including (whilst this is a re-enactment, i'm sure scams along these lines do happen)
  4. Lexus Replacement Warranty and Service Book — PZ471-S04GB-EN L (lexuspartsdirect.co.uk) going for shy of £15. Or phone up ur lexus dealership if u have one nearby. I would go for the latter option as you could get them to look at the digital service record and stamp retrospectively.
  5. Hi Dave, thanks for getting back to me, I was just trying to establish what sort of prices they charged, i am willing to pay a small premium like 10%-20% to avoid a company like the insurance with the pirate cap, espescially as the car has factory optional extras.
  6. Hi Bob, if you don't mind me asking how much did they charge. KR Vishi.
  7. Hi Tony, out of interest how much is the insurance for your NX, with NFU. KR Vishi
  8. Hi all looking to insure with NFU. Just wanted to start of by asking if they are any good. What sort of prices they charge for insurance, are they negotiable. I am looking for a NX300h in Harrow London, previous prices (other insurers: 2020- 440 2021- 400 2022-480) now quotes are 650+, but 750 once you add all the good stuff.
  9. thanks for coming back to me, i will look into Chris Knott Ronnie, did you declare the prem sport edition as a mod, or is that not required. KR VR
  10. Hi all, Looking to renew insurance for2020 NX300h Prem Sport: Back ground info: No claims convictions in last 5 years, 17 Yr NCD touchwood. 6k Miles a year social domestic commuting, we live in Harrow. Last Year policy was 480, this year the lowest is 650 mark, but most insurers are asking 800+. Looking at call to quote insurers. Is NFU insurance any good, and what sort of price are they asking.
  11. The main reason however, as to why i went for the NX except for reliability, is that other brands such as Audi charge extra for rear curtain airbags(at least when i last checked on the Q5) , whereas i felt lexus whilst not generous with tech were not being crooked with safety, and at the time for 2k i could get the prem sport and all the tech i wanted bar the 360 cameras was there. I also get a feeling that the UK arms of car brands are not being good with car security, the amount of keyless go thefts are far too high and all it would take for them to eradicate the issue is by introducing a pin to drive system, just like unlocking your phone. What's your thoughts on pin to drive, teslas already have that. I know i've gone a bit off topic from the inital tyre suggestions apologies!
  12. i get that for sure, but shoddy tyres could also make the difference between some1 buying one on a test drive and not, it hinders the NX reaching its ultimate ability, i get for example a brand like citoren/renault/nissan juke/dacia etc. it makes sense to fit the cheapest, as you dont have choice in the price point, but Lexus has the GLB,GLC X3, X4, Model Y, Q5, Macan, CRV, Sportage, RAV4, TIGUAN, e-pace, f-pace, evoque ... to contend with leaves a bit of a cheap taste, seeing as everything in the NX is perfect. I personally think that if they offered 360 camera (mid spec and above NISSANS, yes Nissans have had this since 2012 yet Lexus in 2023 makes you spend 14k extra to go to Takumi to get this) , better tyres, blind spot monitoring as standard on the lexus range their sales may be 2-3x higher in the UK. The penny pinching on the UX is a bit obvious the bonnet has a manual mount instead of a strut, offering no sat nav as standard, 10k mile service/1 y service intervals probably puts a lot of fleet managers off from buying these as rivals have 2yr/20k and cheaper service. Would you agree?
  13. thanks all for that, I personally having done some more research wouldn't replace my tyres with Yokohoma as they got a D grade for fuel efficency and a C grade for wet handling, when there are other tyres for the same money such as continental/ bridgestone /good year with A and B ratings for the £140-£150 price range on asda tyres. Btw do use asda tyres, if you don't i find that its comparison service is always cheaper except against COSTCO, and it gets fitted at a local garage. Shame Lexus doesn't go for the other brands as standard.
  14. might add, i know how it feels, literally the day we collected the car and parked it I was showing a relative (on the 1st of september) he noticed a nail in the tyre, luckily we were able to remove and the car has been to service twice with no issue. I think the nail was from, when we collected the car we went into an industrial estate right next to the dealership to get a feel for the brakes... as we had to join the motorway straight away, it must have been from there.
  15. must have been annoying. Did they charge you an arm and a leg or was it market pricing, do you do high miles. Ours has only done around 8k miles and it turns 3 in september.
