  1. I got my head in the boot last night and the torsion rods are all in place and are not damaged in any way. i didnt see any adjustment on them to increase the tension though. This is my second 4th Gen GS having had a GS450h before trading it in for my RCF, but i am sure my old GS' boot used to pop open. can anyone on here confirm that the Gen 4 GS' boot pops its self open on release? I am stumped to why its not doing it anymore unless the torsion rods loos strength over time?
  2. Ah thats interesting, is this adjustment available at the hook end. i.e. behind the carpet in the boot? or is it available on the bracketry visible on the celling of the boot? I wonder if this is in the owners manual.
  3. Hi all, I am onto my 5th Lexus and only just become a member so hi all. My wife has a Gen4 GS250 and the boot doesnt pop fully open anymore, I can see that they use a torsion bar mech to actuate the boot opening and mine seams to have failed. Has anyone else had this issue and could share some tips/ experience when it comes to replacement?
