Got the coil replaced. Had little choice but to drive it as had to get to work. Seems fine since but who knows. Hopefully no damage done

Get the car onto a diagnostic reader- without doing that its guesswork as to what the problem is. Post the code generated by the diagnostic reader up on here, there are people on here who can tell you what the problem is exactly.

Does the car drive sluggish? From what you are describing, you have at least one failed coilpack.

Had it on a diagnostics reader this morning and indeed you are correct Kam05, there is a coil pack gone. I have one on order so limping along for the next 3 days.

Will let you know if this resolves the issue

Both TRC and Engine management lights were flashing on dash this morning. Car driving like a plug has gone but suspect that it is because the management light is on. GOing to bring it down to garage this morning to see what diagnostics say. Got oil changed recently in one of hte tyre places and have a dread that they put in wrong grade. Auto box IS200.

Thanks for your recommendaition on changing the transmission fluid.

While it might sound idiotic I would not have considered that it might have been an issue. i assumed the servicing would have taken care of such things. (and my mechanic came highly recommended). Car has been runnign sweetly since and whether or not it is my imagination it also appears to have improved the fuel economy. No more jerking into lower gear under hard acceleration, just smooth ride all the way.

Have you tried changing the auto transmission oil to see if that helps at all?

No, I have tried nothing at this point. I thought perhaps the clutches (or whatever) might typically start to go in a car of this age.

Hi all

When putting the car into R recently the car takes a scond or two to engage then jumps into gear. Car has 90k miles and is 00 year. Is this normal or is there something going wrong?

Are NGK spark plugs ok for the IS200. Do Denso's make that much difference that it is worth my while serching them out. Not easy to get nearby by all account having phoned around.

Any thoughts on why my IS200 auto engine may be doing this. Left it in the airport at the weekend for a couple of days and it shuddered/stuttered quite badly (almost not sure if it wanted to keep going kind of thing) when I started it up upon return . Revved it a little and after about 500 yards had damped down. Not a problem with daily use but have noticed elements of ot recently when car is sitting for a period.

Hi guys, as you know i've the error 3 on my is200 cd player. I'm out uf 5 years warranty so i've opened the CD unit to extract my 3 cds. It's all ok, my cd's are out. Now i want to know if anyone knows what i have to do to repair the radio. The cd loader is empty and when i torn on the radio all 6 cds are visualized on the display and the ERR3 is till present. I've tried to put out the fuse but nothing....

help me...

I also have an ERR 3 on my stereo. How do you remove it from the dash?
