[hi, im having the same problems, ive got a chip wihich as four wires red - live black green yellow any help would be grateful, which wire on the loom is the speedo wire? thankyou in advance.

thanks all for the reply, there is no paperwork with the chip, all i need to know is which of the wires in theloom behind the clock is the speedo signal wire, then i believe i can connect this. if not does anyone know when i can get a chip with instructions, ive seen a sie fse but they want 85 punds, ive been told they cost about 50.

hi, can anyone help me please, ive got one of the conversion units so that my car drives in mph but no instructions to wire it in and no local instructions, its got 4 wires on it, red, black, yellow, green. i know the red is live and black is earth and thats it, i need to know which is the speedo wire on the loom behind the clock and that is where the yellow and green wire goes. thankyou.

hi, what has happened is that the passenger side seat airbag has gone off and i dont want to replace it for the sva, so ive disconnected the entire seat but the light still stays on, so i dont know what to do, do you know anyone or any way to take it off, its needs to light up and go off for it to pass the sva.

yes, ive tried to reset the ecu but nothing, the dealer siad no way as it is an altezza and i cannot take the bulb out as it still has to be esva'd any help?

can anyone tell me how to turn off the airbag light, ive tried the ecu trick by disconnecting the battery but no luck, ive installed the airbag but still no luck. no electrician wants to touch my car becuase its an import and so does the dealership want to stay away from it. any help would be appreciated.

just found out that the passenger seat airbag was deployed and not replaced, hence the dash light comes on, does anyone know how to switch it off without having to put in another airbag into the seat. ive been told to disconnect all the cables under the seat and reaset the ecu someone which i dont know how to do anyway does anyone have any ideas? thankyou.

hi, can anyone tell me, my car has the airbag light on all the time, i dont know if there are any airbags in it, but will the car pass SVA without any airbags. it failed because the airbag light did not come on but now after changing the bulb in stays on all the time,

the airbag light does not come on when i on the ignition, how would i go about checking the bulb, is it straightforward to strip the dash? how would i know where to look for the converter. thankyou,

i think the car has laready being converted its just for some reason reading over, and the car has airbags in it, do you think the bulb for the airbag light has gone, its a automatic.

hello all, please can someone help me, my altezza failed sva and im stuck what to do. it failed on two things: 1 airbag light not working 2 speedo overeads now the car im sure has airbags in and the car reads 30 mph when it is doing 20mph ive been reading other memebers posts and have seen the speedo problem come up but i have no electricians in my area and dont or would not know where to look in the car for a converter. please any help would be greateful. thankyou,

hi, ive bought a remote central locking kit for my car because i have lost the door key and cannot find another lock so i wish to go remote. it is a microscan SCL3000 model no, but i wish to know, in the altezza, is the door locking system a negative pulse system, postive pulse system, vaccum system or a single point system any help to intall this would be greatful, ive got diagrams but i dont know which wire goes where and i want to do it myself one wire says "sidelight output" where would i find this in the altezza? thanks for any help.

hi all once again, i was given a key for my altezza which works on ignition but not on the door so i assumed the door had been changed as had the lock, anyway, i took the lock out and tok it to a locksmith and he said no way as it is a special lock, chip key or something but i told him my car has not secuirty whatsoever inc an immobiliser which was never installed so it is a standard key but he said go to lexus/toyota, so i did and they said they do not have the codes for a import, but can give me a lock set off a uk is200 but cannot guaratee it will work in the door, any help please, are the locks for the doors in an altezza the same as a uk is200? or where can i make a key from using the lock i have took out? thankyou in advance.

thanks all, scott, will i need to install an immobiliser to pass the esva because other have told me that they dont look for that and they dont ask for any kind of immobiliser certification either, is this true? and also any idea why my rear lights have gone out, ive checked the bulbs but nothing, fuses also checked under the bonnet and all good.

Thankyou all for your help, its a auto 1999. i rang up dvla and ask them about the immobiliser thing and they said aslong as you have a modelreport, you do not need a immobiliser, dont know what they have to do with each other, but other people have said you definately need one so im stuck there. ive already got the modelreport but need to find out about the immobiliser thing. ive heard before the satnav is useless so looks like the cd player is also, how can i connect a ps2 to the screen, to use that as a dvd player. and also where exaclty is the second set of fuses, ive checked the bulbs and they are all fine. anything else i need to worry about esva? thankyou all for your help.

hi, ive just bought an altezza from my friend and have booked it in for esva next week but ive come across some problems and was wondering if someone can please help me. 1. my rear lights have stopped working, the indicators and reverese and fogs all work, ive checked the fuses under the bonnet but they are all ok, i dont know where other fuses will be? 2. ive done most conversions for the esva inc the fuel cap and fogs, the speedo says mph on it so thats ok anyway as it came like that, anything else i need to do? 3. i dont know if i have a alarm or immobiliser as standard, do these cars come standard, and if not will i need one to pass the esva? 4. as ive seen with a number of people on this forum, ive got the same problem with my cd player saying err3, can i fix this so it works, also my tv does not catch any signal, what would i need to sort this out? thankyou in advance, if anyone has any tips to ensure it goes through esva smoothly, id appreciate it, thankyou,, i hope to join your exciting world of altezza driving very soon.
