  1. Mine were starting to get battery failure (2007 car).Local TPMS 'specialists' (!) ended up fitting but not programming ("anything but a lexus mate"), so didnt pay for installation, but.....ended up getting all 4 replaced at a jap cars specialist whilst biting a largeish bullet. Cheaper than Lex dealer though, and now I am assuming no more tpms woes for me.......I hope!! Warning lights flashing on the dash were driving me mad. I looked at techstream coding but way way out of my league, i can only manage a mobile phone. My Lex dealer refused to code any sensor not supplied by them.
  2. Thanks Len, found a tpms service centre who said they could, they fitted a new sensor and then could not program it in. The've given up after 2 seperate attempts and say go to Lexus. Lexus say they will only program sensors they install. I am contemplating.........!
  3. Glad to hear this, I have had their details set aside since I was researching buying my 450H, they are not far from me as well in Northamptonshire. It was their existence and reviews, and a Lex Hybrid health check from the seller, that helped me choose to buy. I'm fingers crossed on exhaust and shocks though....and currently having my first experience of TPMS pain ! (Tyre centre fitted new sensor but cant configure. Lex wont do it cos its not a Lex sensor).
  4. Hello, 2007 450H Got a bit confused, yellow flashing tyre and red triangle on dash, after about an hours driving. Tried the push button reset , not worked , so assume its tpms battery (?). I can see them on ebay, in sets of four, to buy, but after installation they have to be reprogrammed. Can any decent garage do this or does the car have to go in to Lexus? Never had TPMS before so its all new to me !! Thanks.
  5. Hello, A common complaint amongst IS300 mk1 owners (incl myself) was that the car wandered a bit...not 'planted' on the road. I feel the same in the 450H and others feel it too. At that time Tony (Bones) (who has passed on maybe ??) developed a suite of new alignment settings that were not Lex standard, it made the car feel planted and also improved tyre wear. Many of us owners trekked down to his workshop to have him use his magic.......... Never heard of this approach on the GS, has it ever come up ?? Ringing any bells ??
  6. nd a hybrid certificate. Its going well so far, 33mpg for winter mixed driving, it will take a while for me to feel at ease but my previous years ago lex, a 300 sportcross was a 22mpg gem. I paid a bit more for my 450h but I saw so many dodgy ones, mostly easy to detect by looking up the mot history. On mine I compared the milage on mots to the dealer service history. My fingers are crossed but loving it so far.

    Hi

Just saying hello, previously a member and owned a 1st gen is200, then a 300 sportcross some years ago. Fancied another sportcross and have been looking for a good unmodified one....no success there! So looked for a gs 300, ditto and finally started to find unmodded cars in 450H so bought a lowish mileage older one, lex history, no vvti rattle or oil leak on the front, dealer hybrid check and guarantee. Seems such a complicated car to me, first hybrid, but it's a Lex so fingers crossed its a decent buy...Time will tell !!
