  1. Hi all, first post here just looking for some advice regarding 1g gte internals compatability with 1gfe. Currently in the process of rebuilding my 1gfe and after seeing how skinny the stock rods are would like to upgrade while I'm here as I plan to turbo this engine. My question is will 1g gte rods and pistons fit 1gfe crank? Looking at toyota parts diagrams the crankshaft is the same part no. for both engines so in theory 1g gte rods and pistons should fit my 1gfe crank and block? Also would using 1g gte pistons mean I won't need to use a decomp. plate as the gte pistons will lower my compression ratio? My current rods are of the 44mm variety so is there a specific 1g gte version that I must look out for or are all 1g gte rods 44mm? Plan is to use 1g gte rods and pistons while retaining 1gfe crank, block and vvti head so as to keep it as simple as possible. Any input is really appreciated thanks
