Is installing an amp a difficult process? I’ve got a subwoofer with a built in amp, would that work aswell?

Ive recently brought an IS200 S and I'm trying to install a double din head unit. I fitted everything correctly and it works fine however theres no audio whatsoever. After attempting to locate the amp behind the glovebox and doing some research online i found out that the “S” models don't have an amp. Does this mean i cant get audio?
