  1. HI Kev - yes I do have the original ML unit. Thanks. Leigh.
  2. Yes - the horn works. I had the clock spring changed a while ago.
  3. So the other buttons do work - the mode and the channel switches (up and down)....
  4. Yes the aerial on the rear wing is working - but there is very little FM reception apart from one station. So it's either the head unit and/or the connection between the two or possibly the windscreen...... Trying to eliminate what it isn't....
  5. Too long ago - and in any case - it might not be the problem so need to troubleshoot beforehand.
  6. Anybody know where the connection to the screen from the aerial lead is please? It's plugged into the back ot the head unit - but I had a windscreen replacement and most FM reception has gone - so trying to troubleshoot. Thanks.
  7. Hi Andrew - yes apologies, I should have mentioned that I had already tried that 'fix' without any success. Thanks. Leigh.
  8. These aren't working for the radio, cd, etc. I can't remember when I tried to use them last - it might have been since I had the clock spring replaced and I think I read somewhere that there is a wire that goes from these buttons down the center of the steering wheel. Perhap this might be the problem? How can I troubleshoot? Really don't want to take the steering wheel cover off..... Thanks.
  9. Thanks all - that's now working. However.... I had my windscreen replaced a while ago due to a crackm and while the aerial now works, I'm not getting any FM - so assuming it's the new windscreen......
  10. Hi Steve - yes to the 1st question and yes to the 2nd question. Where would you suggest I buy the replacement aerial? Thanks!
  11. I’ve tried to replace the aerial - have taken apart the motor and taken out the plastic/nylon from the old aerial and replaced it with a new one (as per the 3 videos on YouTube). All seemed fine, until I turned on the stereo again and the aerial didn’t extend. Dismantled it again and found that the plastic/nylon had come away from the metal aerial. So it seems that the motor is pulling too much of the plastic and it’s breaking the aerial. Any ideas? New motor or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
