  1. ABS TRC on, got a IcarsoftTYT OBD reader, sure enough, right rear sensor shows no data. 2nd hand sensor fitted, no difference, old one covered in rusty iron filings (from the reluctor ring cover I believe) Reluctor ring suspiciously shiny on the sticky up teeth, after comparing with the image of a new reluctor ring clearly this one has been worn down, probably by said rusty iron filings. I don't have the knowledge, kit or place to remove the hub. drive shaft and whatever else to get to the reluctor ring to replace it and I can't afford to pay a dealer to do this. Late at night after a beer and a smoke a thought popped up, what if the sensor cant 'see' the ring teeth coz they are worn down somewhat. I measured the distance from the ring teeth to the mounting surface of the sensor at the hub, then calculated the gap between sensor and ring to be about 5mm, too much, so I got the dremel out and removed 3mm from the sensor outer face that is bolted to the hub (not the end of the sensor) including the mounting hole. to allow the sensor to sit closer to the reluctor ring. Bloody 'ell, it works even though the reluctor ring teeth are only about 1mm high now. Result! one happy owner.
