Hi everyone, I'm new!
Anyway I've been driving my is200 for a couple of months now and I'm happy with the car, but here in Oz they all come with Automatics.
Eventually I'm planning to do some work on the car (when I pay it off), and I think the first thing I'd love to do would be to replace the snoozy auto with a good heavy dutyish manual transmission. I know the Altezza in Japan has the option of the 6 speed manual, and I'd be very interested in getting one of these but I don't know what I'm looking for.
So...
1) How much can the 6 speed handle? I'm dreaming of a low pressure turbo setup eventually, and I'd love to keep the same transmission
2) Where to get one? Do I wander down to my local Toyota man and shake his hand in a special manner?
3) Any general hints for the transplant?
