  1. My list is heavily weighted to one brand, 80/90s hip hop to thank for the early intro...

    1996 Renault Clio Maxim 1.4

    2003 Lexus IS200 Sport (Styling Kit/Nav)

    2006 Lexus IS250 Sport

    *Bike hiatus*

    2002 Lexus IS200 Sport (Styling Kit/Nav)

    2007 BMW 320D M Sport

    2013 Lexus IS300h F Sport

    2016 Lexus RC300h F Sport

    2016 Lexus RX450h F Sport

    2022 Lexus NX450h+ F Sport

Gotta be an LC when I get to retire the family cars...

  2. I've had my plate for five years, and it's been on RC, RX, NX so far... LC will be it's next destination, and already dreaming of it back on a coupe after the family cars...

Cost the entry £250 and is an old 1998/99 reg, S33 for see and then my initials, so very obscure and cheap, but I love it. The symmetry is pleasing and I like that it disguises the age of the cars...

Always wanted C4 SPA and remember it being £4k in the 90s when I started driving!

Recently got the Mrs one at £250, new style and even more obscure as family member initials connected with an acronym, but nice little sentimental gift.

Anybody watch this this week? either Lexus decided to kick themselves in the teeth or the programme was biased against them. Four hybrid cars put through their test. Volvo, Hyundai and Skoda and a Lexus RX. Only issue was the other three were 2023 models and the Lexus RX 2019. The Lexus was kicked out within seconds described as out dated and poor battery power. To be honest the Lexus looked scruffy. If Lexus supplied the vehicle they did their selves a disservice. If the programme did it was unfair.

It was the UX and full EVs on test, so thought it was pretty fair, as not their best work or strong point in general at the moment I'd say.

Hi Deb, I am in the same camp, ordered Sep22 just before price increases and then they stopped taking new orders. I have ordered NX350h FSport with panoramic sunroof. I got a good deal from my dealer, priced at 50k after discounts. I am also looking for other brands but finding it hard to match price, performance and spec on other brands compared to NX. Any suggestions on brand/make?

It's crazy how the prices have risen since release. My 450h+ F Sport cost bit under £51k after discounts the dealer had to apply due to fluctuations in used car prices from order to delivery.

My key certainly looks different from the pics in the manual once the “key part” is removed. Can anyone explain which way it slides to get to the battery, tried all ways and it doesn’t want to budge.

Also, for those who have changed the battery, did you get any warning that the battery in the fob was low?

Nope, no warning whatsoever. Work from home so been turning off the signal after the morning childminder run, and it simply didn't come back on the morning I was heading out early to the office for a client lunch.

Thank you Tony, much appreciated, it is so easy when you know how🤔

I had taken the mechanical key out but was trying to slide it from top to bottom as per the key on my previous RX🙄

Same, was like the RX or anything before it!

  6. Agreed on the poor journey logging! Haven't studied it but see it missed the first journey out this morning, so assume the same throughout...

Heating works but I've had scheduled ones fail a couple times, and so needs improving for sure.

Biggest annoyance that persists for me is the profile sync login requests - got to the point where I've had to change my Google password manager generated password for something easier!

  7. My main key stopped working yesterday and it appears that the Battery has died after just 5 months... Very strange, especially as I've been turning off the constant signal when parked up at home.

Unlike my previous Lexus, this fob doesn't have a slot for the manual key to go in so you can prise it open, so anyone know how you open these new ones?

  8. This is my one little annoyance at the moment. Happens once every few weeks or so and I do the same as Andy and it goes away. Figured it could be related to poor mobile reception around home causing the car not to be able to connect back to Lexus via its own connection, similar to how the remote heating schedule can occasionally fail.

December update didn't fix it either.

Definitely not related to your mobile connection or WiFi so don't waste your time with that.

  9. I'm another who has gone from an RX450h to an NX450h, and no regrets for me.

Lexus is my brand of choice and when I needed something family oriented a couple of years back the RX was the only option as I did not like the old NX interior at all, and wasn't that keen on the exterior either.

Came from an RC so didn't enjoy driving the RX anywhere near as much, and wasn't keen on the body roll, but couldn't really fault it otherwise (was used to the old infotainment system). Definitely didn't need something as big though, and so was very interested in the new NX, and specifically the 450h as majority of my driving is local and so fits the profile for a plugin hybrid.

The NX has brought the driving enjoyment back for me and with a little over 2k on the clock now, I seem to be averaging about 1k miles per tank.

I'm loving the new tech which has been a long time coming for Lexus.

Would someone be able to clarify how to store a driving position using the memory function - I can set a steering wheel position but not the seat?

I had the same issue with the seat position not sticking and it just needed a reset, as per Ken's helpful instructions.

I moved the seat to its furthest forward position, followed by its furthest rearward position, then put the reclining backrest to its most upright position and finally to its most reclined position. I then sat in the seat and adjusted everything to its final position that suited me and "recorded" this by holding set with button 1. You can then repeat to hold configurations for other drivers at buttons 2 and 3. Details are in the handbook. Hope this helps!
