  1. Yeah - as soon as the dealer realises on Monday that the service is going to cost him nearer £500 there's no way he'll let me buy it for £8500.. AND service it at Lexus for me. As he said, I'm asking for another £1k off the price effectively! (You gotta ask though... :winky: ) The thing is though, I'd rather him get it serviced (and pick up the tab for anything needed) than drop the price and get it serviced myself.
  2. Nice one, cheers - bit more than I thought! Guess that means that price wont come down any more...
  3. Hi all :) - I'm almost an IS200 owner..... I'm looking for a decent IS200 SE/Sport for under £10k, and have just test driven this one... '51 SE, 83k FLSH, Bright Red. http://pictures.autotrader.co.uk/ATD_web/s...ia?id=168728658 The garage are asking £8995 for it, which seems reasonable considering its done 83k miles but its looks straight, drives well, everything works and has full Lexus history. It only has a few paint chips, but they'll be sorted. I'm not worried about the mileage - assuming the car lives up to the lexus reputation it should only affect the resale price, especially once I've taken it over 100k... I was wondering about a cambelt change, but have found from this forum that that's not due until 100k, so that's fine. My question relates to the service history. The last service it had was at 69k and going by the service book it needs a full service next - which should have been at 80k. I'm negotiating with the garage at the moment on a deal for the car... I want it taxed, and a full service done at a Lexus garage, and am offering £8500. The garage are sticking by their £8995 price (having just dropped it a grand), but will tax the car and have agreed in principle to the service, but are waiting until they can get in touch with the local Lexus garage to get an exact price....to be happy with the deal. Has anyone any idea how much a full service would be? (I guessed £300) Any help, things to look out for, comments would be appreciated. Cheers, Gav
