  1. Hi all, Day 2 of my first Lexus and still got that schoolboy grin from ear to ear :D I'm a total convert after two days!!! Still finding that several items are not covered in the manual though :duh: So after 2 hours of searching the forum and finding several nice tips, ideas etc I'm still left with the following questions... 1. Trip Computer - What actually resets the refuelling log as mine thinks I refuelled at 5.50am this morning, I didn't, altho I did go to work at that time? Also previous logs show very low milage between refuels e.g 0.8 & 0.1 miles etc. Maybe dealer doing test drives/customers playing with system??? 2. Trip Computer - The clock is 1 hour slow, summer time i presume, how do I alter it? CAN I alter it? 3. REAR Door Red Foot Lights not working (both sides) is this likely bulbs/fuses or can they be switched off? and if bulbs how do I get access to them? 4. My Sat/Nav CD-Rom is version 2.1 and I been told latest version is 3.4 and is available from Lexus for approx £150. if so do people upgrade often and are older versions say 3.2 or 3.3 commonly available for sale second hand? Anyway I would be grateful for answers to any of the above and any other advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in antisipation.... Nigel
  2. Thanks for the reply and the explanation of the internal sensors, Yes it is a Mk2 BTW, but i'm still confused, I.E. if I press [lock] quickly car locks etc (NO beep), but if i hold for longer than approx 1/2 second the car "beeps", is the beep significant? or is this just to tell me its attempting to close windows etc? Sorry for sounding like a complete idiot, I just like to know these things - Sad I know, i'm not an anorak honest lol
  3. Hi everyone, I purchased my very 1st lexus today and am absolutely over the moon!!! However despite reading the manuals literally from cover to cover I am somewhat confused at the various alarm "Arming" combinations. The manual only mentions pressing the lock button on the key and 30 seconds later the alram will arm.... Ok so far and this works fine, however if I keep the button pressed the car "beeps" once and the indicators blink once. If I press the button again the car "beeps" again but this time the indicators blink 5 times? So my question is this, What does the "beep" indicate? What is the Second Setting for? (with & without the beep) The manual makes no mention of these scenarios so I would welcome some words from the wise amongst you. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section, but i'm new to Forums and Lexus, but hopefully not for long. Any help would be much appreciated as I will probably sit in the window all night, watching my new baby and wondering if the alarm is set. Regards Nigel
