Hi there,

I recently purchased a LS430 ( 2001, 51 ) premium, got it for a song £3.45k with 105 on the clock with full lexus history and the cambelt and service done last september. The seller did inform me that the aircon didn't work and that it never bothered him so he never got it working.

Anyway I had it tested today and it seems the car has a leak in one or both of the rear pipes underneath or above the fuel tank however you see it. I went down to lexus to see what the costs were for these pipes £438.46 including vat, but fitting price would be near £1k.

Part numbers given were : L88717-50370 | L88716-50521

Has anyone had any experience on sorting this issue out? I know it was a problem that occured on these, I had a feeling the bloke who sold it was full of crap, as when he purchased it he had the boot and one of the doors sorted out under lexus's corrosion warranty. If he went to these lengths Im sure he would of had the aircon checked.

Sorry for going on, just really fed up that it doesn't work, everything else is fine bar this.

O and the car has the problem with one of the windows delaminating.

what a pain

Any advice for a new member appreciated.
