do you think that is possible that could work by disconnecting the battery?and maybe the remote key fob will work as i dont know when it worked last.as he just told me that the battery died and never replaced it. Same problem with my Mk3.I messed about and ended up with the immobiliser not working.Had to have it trucked to Lexus Guildford and they charged me £200 to disconnect the whole alarm system. The company that fitted the alarms are now no more and Lexus can no longer repair them. I would leave well alone and use the key in the door.Do you tell the insurance company? Is anyone going to nick a £850 motor.I don't think so. Best of luck,welcome to the Club.

Hi All, Have been a member for 18 months now,and,although not very active in the contributions,have visited and read every topic daily.I joined the club after purchasing a fellow members Mark3 1995 and am now totally besotted by the Lexus marque. Well, today I picked up my new Lexus. A 1999 Mark1V,62k,FSH,Dynamic Handling Pack,Silver,Black Interior, with all the options.I am over the moon.Living in a leafy suburb of Surrey (Weybridge) I thought that buying a car from Perth (Scotland) would be an adventure.After a week of negotiations on the phone,I travelled up to Glasgow from Euston on the Caledonian Sleeper (8 hours)picked up the car at 10am and drove straight back to Surrey. 405 miles and 6 hours of total driving pleasure.Now I have 2 Lexus.Is the best place to sell on Ebay,or,advertise in Autotrader.Any advice greatly received.Not sure of the forum rules, but would dearly love to recommend the dealership in Scotland where I purchased the mark 1V. Hi All, Have owned my Mk 3 1995 for 1 year now and until yesterday have only ever had 2 people in back seats.3 seat belts coming from behind rear seat backs ,but only 2 locking devices coming up through seats.Surely 1 has not been removed? Looking at pictures on internet this seems to be the norm? Where is the 3rd? As I said, I have only owned the car for a year now,so I am still finding out more about it daily.What wonderful machines they are.Joined the LOC a short while ago,(this is my first post),but have been a visitor to the club for the last 12 months. It is a pleasure to know that other Lexus owners enthuse about their cars as I do.
