  1. I have noticed recently when looking at other is200's that the rear badge is missing off the back of my car. The "lexus" on the left and the "is200" on the right are present but the badge is missing out the middle. I have recently bought one off ebay but it has come with 3 pins and I don't want to drill the car, cos as usual I will ***** it up. Is there badges you can get without the pins, and if so, where do I get one and how does it stick down. As you can tell I know nothing about cars!! Cheers Kev
  2. Can anyone please help me. I recently had my rear pads and discs changed at a garage. All was fine for a few days then it started to rattle until I braked. My mate had a look and said that the anti-rattle shims had fell of the back brakes. I have searched everywhere on the internet with no avail. Anyone know where to get them from and what price I should be paying. Cheers Kev
  3. Can anybody help! Had a baby 10 days ago ( well the missus did! ) and have been trying to get a baby seat for my car ( it is an x reg is200.) Have been to Halfords, Mothercare and Mama and Papas. Everytime we see a seat that we like, they check on the computer for compatibility and find that it isn't suitable or safe in a Lexus is200. Apparently Lexus seat belts are too short, also there is some problem due to the seatbelt buckle being able to move rather than being rigid. Does anybody know the names of any seats that are safe to be used in the car? If not, will have to tell the missus the good news that the baby will always have to go in her car and that there will be no cleaning vomit up required for me!
  4. Don't know if you have already bought the Autoglym or not yet. I had same problem with both the car and leather sofa in the house. Apparently the best thing is "Nivea Moisturiser". The blue bottle or tub costs about £2 and works a treat. All you do is wipe on and leave for an hour to absorb. Hope it helps!
  5. Cheers for the response. The tyres are only 3 months old and brake pads and front discs only about 15 months old. Somebody else told me lexus are very heavy on the front discs and pads, so I will get the pads checked to see if this is the problem. The other reply mentioned squeeking. Mine also did this when first bought. My mate copper slipped the back of the brake pads and cleaned up the edge of the discs. It worked a treat!
  6. I have an X reg is200se which has been perfect for the last 2 years. Over the last few weeks, I have started to hear a very quiet knocking noise when braking ( but not every time??). At the same time the steering has felt off so took it to have tracking fixed. The garage said that tracking was fine but wheels needed to be balanced. Have since had this done with no success. I wouldn't have a clue what to do myself, but don't want to go to a a garage and be shafted by them. Due a baby very soon and want problem sorted beforehand, hopefully not for extortionate lexus prices Any ideas?? Cheers.
