  1. hi maneesh i got em from: foreigncarpartsonline.com they are great -think i paid about $300, but they were in genuine toyota sealed packing. the guy there is nick , they are in groton near new york. I assume u have done the lower ball joints?? those are the ones that wear the most. i got them from the above guys too- just the outer arm and bll joint. cheers
  2. hey guys you might want to check this: I had oil and filter replaced by trans. expert, and noticed big oil leaks the next 2 weeks- turned out the oil pan needed retorqing cos the cork gasket takes up and the bolts get slack. U might check and re-torque after a few days save yourself some oil and mess. cheers
  3. changed fuel filter and air filter is ok. also put two new cats on.
  4. had low power and missing on acceleration: have replaced: timing belt, idler brg, tensioner, plugs leads distributor rotors caps w.pump accesory drive belt and pulleys, still chasing low power on acceleration after about 3-4000rpm. full throttle gives acceleration to 3-4000rpm, then it labours and wont go over 5000 till u bak off and then it changes up and accelerates till the same again occurs. On scanning, no codes appear. any ideas guys???/
  5. final outcome- place i bought belt is taking it back for a refund-i went and bought a genuine belt from lexus and it has all the correct marks and fits!
  6. I went ahead and put tensioner on and spun engine around twice so cams line up again correctly, and tdc on crank pulley is out about 10 degrees, so its not right.
  7. hey thanks there is my problem, the belt has no mark on it for the crank position. lining up 2 marks on the cams leaves another mark just about 4 oclock on L cam but nothing anywhere near the crank . FIts ok but noway to line it up properly. Must be faulty. wasnt a genuine part, so there. thought i might have been missing something
  8. am doing timing belt on ls400-new belt has 3 marks on it but none line up where the crankshaft drive is. Two will line up with cam gear marks, the third is then about 4oclock on the L hand pulley. How can i get it installed?
  9. you better check those bushes in rear uprights-theres a tutorial on replacing them on lexls.com
