  1. Hi all, Thanks to some idiot driving on the wrong side of the road, I now have a missing wing mirror and badly damaged drivers side window I am somewhat reliably informed that my insurance will cover the window without affecting my no claims bonus... (is this true?) More importantly at this stage... Does anyone have a driver's side wing mirror for a silver, 2001 IS200? Failing that, does anyone know of a Lexus breaker in the Oxfordshire region? Gutted! Cheers Chris
  2. Are you suggesting that the same type of needle would be used for subcutaneous injections and for example, delivering drugs or removing fluids? This is silly..I am now stepping out of this argument....... Chris
  3. I asked a vet and was advised that it is quite safe to re-use needles as long as it is on the same animal and the needle is kept clean. If it's blunt, then change it. If not, the dog is not going to mind. Cheers, Chris
  4. Not true. ← Thank you. Cannot re-use. BAH!
  5. £1 a needle? B*ll*x!! Go to a different vet! Oh and you are aware that you can re-use them aren't you? Cheers, Chris
  6. Best of luck with Thomas Cook, but I wouldn't hold your breath. We booked a holiday through them a couple of months ago and it turned out to be so bad that we decided to fly back only 4 days into the holiday. I have written to their complaints department several times and after a couple of months finally got a reply which roughly translated says "f*** off, we don't care". Thomas Cook are governed by ABTA so, they are in breach of several regulations simply by failing to reply within the ABTA code of conduct guidelines. Being a reasonable chap, I approached my Credit Card company and asked if they would be able to reclaim the cost of the holiday, they wrote to Thomas Cook and were sent a copy of the letter that was sent to me saying "F*** off, we're not interested". My next step is to contact ABTA to report Thomas Cook for breaching their regulations, BUT if they are to get involved in the form of arbitration, they charge you for the pleasure.. Which is nice. Anyway.. You'll be wanting ABTA's details: ABTA ABTA Contact Information ABTA Complaints Procedure (You will need to contact TC first) I hope this helps. Drop me a PM if I can be of further assistance. Chris
  7. Just a thought but would your insurance company not be able to get involved? I am assuming that you have fully comprehensive insurance with legal protection? In which case technically the damage should be covered by this. Now, your insurance company are not going to want to fork out for the repair costs so should take it up with the dealer and get things moving. As far as I can see, this it likely to be the easiest way of getting some form of legal involvement with no cost to yourself. Minor risk of losing your no claims bonus though. Chris
  8. It's in the subject line - 'Vauxhall'.
  9. I had this problem when using cheap oil in a previous car. I have also seen similar symptoms with low quality/contaminated fuel. So, my advice.. Oil change and a fresh tank of fuel. HTH. Chris
  10. How odd.. I have a bug in exactly the same place. I think I'll be 'borrowing' a can of compressed air from work tomorrow. http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_...pressed_air.jpg That should do the trick! :) Chris
  11. unless u can find a blank uncut key on ebay! ← Is it legal for a key shop (What does one call a shop who cuts keys?) to cut the key? No dodgy law stopping this? If it's legal (ish), I am more than happy to look like a fool, standing on one leg whilst holding the key in my right hand, whilst simultaniously opening and closing all of the car's doors at the same time. Or at least, I think that's what the instructions said.. Cheers, Chris
  12. Dragging this kicking and screaming back onto topic (well, kinda).. I have a master key, but would like to buy a spare. What would be the cheapest and easiest way to do this? A trip to Mr T? Chris
  13. I'm not paying £25 to access porn! Hmm.. Chris
  14. RE Pentagon.. They won't? Why? Hmm.. I'm sure I could convince them to. Thanks for the welcome guys. I will give Oxford a call on Monday and assuming that they participate in the discount scheme, I will sign up then. Thanks again, Chris
  15. Hi, I have been floating around as a 'guest' for the past couple of weeks and, having collected my IS200 SE this morning, thought it was about time I registered and said hello to everyone. So... HELLO! Now, time for a daft question.. Should I pay for gold membership? As I purchased the car from an independent dealer, it is almost due for a 50,000 service and also only has one key (Who only has one key for their car? ) I understand that you guys do not post details of gold discounts outside of the gold members forum, but to help me make a decision, would I save any money using the words 'gold member' in Oxford Lexus? While I am here (And girlfy is not looking) does anyone know of any window tinting companies in the Oxford area? I have used Pentagon in the past, but as they are v - expensive (I guess you get what you pay for), I thought it worth shopping round first. Bye for now! Chris
