Happy Birthday Am... :)
-
Yep - count me in Mike... :)
-
are we arranging track sessions ???
Doubt it - although if there are enough takers (or you want to go out with other club cars) I can sort it...
-
has anyone tried this mcguires stuff, ive seen quite a few adverts around for it...........
Have a Look here Matt!
http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...=meguiars+stage
This is after I used the Deep crystal 3 stage system. The pics are only of my missus' old motor and were taken after slight rain with a mobile phone but the stuff worked absolutely brilliantly. It is the best I've seen without the help of a buffer or polisher.
This 3 stage system is only to be done every 6 months to a year so I use the Meguiars Gold class polish on a regular basis. It is carnuba based and is much easier to use than the Autoglym stuff as it is a very fine polish and only a very light coat is needed each time!
I would strongly recommend that Autoglym users at least give the Meguiars a go so you can see the difference yourself :o
:D
Mat posted that comment in February of 2002!
And this thread was started in November 2001!!!

Welcome to the Club.
The Altezza is the Jap import version of the Lexus IS200/300.
It has a completely different engine to the IS200.
IS200: 1G-FE - 153bhp
Altezza RS200: 3S-GE - 210bhp
Have a look round the forums, and wait for Mac, Robin, Mr Singh and a few other Tezza owners to pop on and steer you to the darkside...

Have a read of the thread below - the same question was answered in some detail. It's a very good place to start.

Hi there and welcome to LOC UK!
In terms of your query, you may want to try posting on our sister site - Lexus Owners Club US...

:)

Zee - any chance of a group buy on either??
I'll look into it for you mate... Leave it with me... ;)

TRD gear knobs come with 3 stickers for different gear layouts. One of them is correct for the IS200 6spd including reverse. :)
-
Hotel is squessing me Zee as they have set aside rooms for that weekend! I would rather have as many people come as possible! I dont know whethr to go ahead or to push it out abit more to give other guys a chance to get over?
How many deposits have you had in so far Owen?
The Germany date has been chosen based on a.) peoples choice, b.) Nurburgring availability, c.) TTE availability and d.) TOC being in Germany.
As I said - over 75% of the people on your list aren't on the Germany list. The only overlaps are Barrie, Mat and Mike.
-
Are you a definate Dave?
You and Kami?
99.99% sure..............just need to get someone to look after Jessica
Cool - 99.99% is good enough for me! :)
I've added you as a defo...
-
i put stiffer adjustable arb,s on my 200sx
they were the same diamiter as the OM ones
but thay were solid and the OM ones was hollow !!
i haven got a clue about the tezza ones !!
Same as the Tezza ones. Standard are hollow - uprated are solid and bloomin heavy.
-
Ohh No!!!!!!! Just realised this is gonna wreck my planned LOC Ireland meet !!
It clashes bigtime with the planned date in April. Been trying to get this off the ground since last
October!
I've responded in your Ireland meet thread, but just to re-itterate. The vast majority of people on your Ireland meet are NOT coming to Germany and vice-versa. So there should be no concerns.
may go in my new toyota :winky:Are you a definate Dave?
You and Kami?
-
The final hammer blow! The TTE Trip to Germany!
Looks like I am going to have cancel everything! :-(
Its totally unfeasable to have the German trip and Irish trip one weekend after the other!
Erm - why is that Owen?
There are only 6 of us going so far to Germany.
Most of the people on your list aren't even going to Germany!
-
I have been using Mintex pads for a few years (on my old IS and Tezza) and have no complaints.
-
When i took my first test drive in an RS200 .......i started off dissappointed at how slow the pick-up was, so i said this to the mechanic along for the ride....."you've got to wind it up first" he said.....so we let all traffic pass and with a clear stretch of road ....floored it ....OH MY ***.....got back to the dealers and tried to stop grinning......I had been looking for an IS200 for a long time but after that one drive you won't look at a normal IS ......
Also RS has a slightly lighter engine over the IS so consider this as well for handling....oh and the RS anti roll bars are huge...won't need to change them IMO....
I thought all the ARB were the same for the IS200, IS300 and Altezza?
If Altezza has beefier ones that would be new one, anyone confirm this?
Standard ARB's are the same on an RS200 and an IS200/AS200. I have a standard set from both sat in my garage, and they are identical.

Hi and Welcome to LOC!
Hope Spain is warmer than Enland at the moment!
Have a read of the following link - it should help steer you in the right direction...

OK - I understand that the Ring will be busy over the Easter weekend. Lets remember that no one is being pressured to HAVE to go round the Ring. Also, the focus for our trips to Germany are on visiting the wonderful TTE facilities. So let's play it by ear and meet with the TOC chaps on Saturday. It's going to be fun!!! :D

I have spoken to the organisers, and a few other car clubc, and the spaces are going FAST.
