I got a quote from Virgin. Don't know about mods, but they were only £326 fully comp. But I am 32 with 7 yrs NCB. Also they don't charge you extra for paying monthly. :)

No Ta The IS is on -35mm PI's and the Tezza is down about 50mm on Apexi Coilovers. Still got the Sport -15mm springs if you want em Haven't had them changed yet, work has got in the way The springs on there are the PI ones though, so I guess it is 35mm? Also just got quoted £200 all in to do the wing and bumper scratches, so im a happy man B)

Thanks for the info. And no all the bits were done when I bought it. It has a Kenwood KVT 920DVD in the front, a slim Playstation in the glovebox(which I only found today) A "10 tv that flips down from the ceiling in the back, just got to get it all working properly now :)

It is lower than my calibra was and there were certain places off limits to me in that. Plus as I was going over some speed bumps the other day, I could hear scraps on the bottom of the car, and that was down a road my last car had no problem going down. It's a shame as it does look nice like it, but practicality of it....none :( Wanna buy some ;)

Well having been let down on another deal, I ploughed through the IS adds to find this machine :) Front Rear Side Interior Got it for £5300 there is a small dent on the drivers side wing, I was quoted £430 to replace and spray the wing, so the previous owner deducted the car by that much in case it needed replacing. It's 35mm lowered at the moment, but it is having it's original springs put back on this week. Also went to Lexus on Saturday, and bought a cambelt and tensioner for it to be put on this week too. Thought the parts were very resoable as they both came to £83. The tensioner alone on my old Calibra was £94 BTW is the cigarette lighter ment to have an illuminated edge to it, like the ignition?

Off on Saturday to pick it up look Here Got it for £5000 exactly. AA are even giving me a 9 month Warranty with it. It hasnt had a cambelt change, but that is covered by the warranty and is booked in to be changed on Monday anyway. So you should see me around here a bit more now :D

Whys that mate???? Has it got near-on 100k on the clock, cos thats when the cam-belt needs changing Don't know, as I havent found one yet :D It's just something I was advised, when buying second hand cars, if the person hasn't got the history. Got a Calibra at the mo, and it goes up for sale thursday or friday, its having a new oil pump fitted at the mo. Girlfriend says I can get eht Lex now, if I can find one cheap enough. been looking in Atuo trader and threr are some at around £5000-£6000. That is all we can afford at the mo, but if it's good we can always work up at a later date :winky: Thanks for the advice guys. Will be on here a lot more once the car is bought.

So can someone tell me? How much is a cambelt to buy, I have my own mech to fit it :)

Hello My Name is Luke. I currently own an Opel Calibra 2.0 16V. Its heavley astheticly modified, with ps2 install, amongst other bits. I want to buy an IS200(not too sure which spec) And came across this site. Is there anything I should look out for when buying one. And is there anything that is going to majorly sting my pocket once bought? Eg whats a cambelt change gonna cost me? Thanks Luke :D
