  1. Mods shouldn't be a problem although I'm guessing it would take a trusting person to buy the guy without seeing it! Not only that, the shipping and import duties would push the price well past what you could find in the UK for a locally sourced car of the same spec! I have taken my Melbourne delivered IS to Ireland. The main problem I have had is replacing a key remote entry where the dealer is unable to match the electronics with the car, stating differences in frequency used in Aussie cars V Pommie cars???? Also, have just had a timing belt service completed this week. 2 things to learn from this: 1. I now have a warning light (after the service) where the book says - Go to a dealer. I never had a problem like this before the service. The dealer said it was a ghost warning and reset it. After driving away, no warning light til I stopped for fuel (130Km away.) After re-starting I got the warning light back within 1 Km. I now expect a lame excuse from the dealer citing the word "Import" and "Nothing to do with his service" attached to a "Bill of repair". 2. The aussie book says change timing belt at 150k Km. Well, I saw the one that came out at 149.6K and was so lucky that it had not broken. Pommie IS200 book recomends change at 60k miles (160K Km). I will listen in future.
