I like the rims.

I don't think i'd put one on my car. Alot of effort has gone into that though.
Nice one.
As mentioned before, i'd like to see it on the car.

Iv'e been quoted £274.95 for the DBA 4000xs from TDI, that includes VAT and postage.
Unfortunatly, they are a bit too pricy for me.
Looking at the ones from Prolex now.....
Also found these EBC Sport Rotors (Drilled & Slotted) .....
http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Automotive.html#
any one used them? If so are they OK?

£35 posted and packed, but can only get sapphire blue, platinum ice, granite sky and black
any other colour and you would need to buy one of the above and have it repainted
How hard is it to paint?
As you can see, my car is aztec fire. Not painted/sprayed anything for my car before
I've contacted Lexus Worcester and they have informed me they can no longer get hold of them :(

Yeah, Good job
I like the sparkling engine bay.

Our local Inde garage charges £40 + Vat.
I don't live anywhere near kent so can't recommend. I don't think your going to get much cheaper, unless you know someone in the trade.

nearly as bad as the misus' parking :)

I'm Looking to change my standard IS 200 grill to a more sporty one.
Do the dealers still sell one, how much are they, and do you think they will fit it for me?
If not where else can i get them from?
Many thanks.

Im torn between the prolex grooved ones and the DBA's 4000xs.
They are a bit more money, but i am a firm believer that you get what you pay for.....
What does everone else think?

Adrian Flux....
Now i found them to be a really good insurance company for modified cars. The only reason i started using them is that the company i work for put in there backoffice computer system. I've been to the site there in Kings lynn a couple of times now. They just keep getting bigger and bigger.
Another insurance company you may want to consider is Express insurance.

Hi Newbe here to the Lexus forum, and not done many posts.
I've not had my Lexus IS200 long (about 10 Months).
It's done nearly 50,000 and in need to replace the front discs (and Pads).
I've done a search on this forum, and read various threads re changing discs.
I want a disc that will look better on my car.
I'll list a selection that some people have chosen
Diamond Blacks
prolex-uk grooved
DBA's
EBC's
AltezzaScott brembo.
Cross drilled?
Grooved?
Pitted?
Cross drilled and grooved?
The prices vary so much. Is it a case of 'you get what you pay for' or are there reasons for choosing?
I don't want to spend the earth as I am only upgrading for aesthetic reasons. I want them to look good.
I don't want to spend more that £200 for the Disc's. Which ones?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the advice
;)

Did you test drive the car before you bought it? If so I would have thought the dealer would be likely to put up a fight.
Yeah, I did, i didn't notice it then though.
Did you get any warranty from the dealer?I got 3 months, or 3,000 miles.
I've done about 1500 miles in it so far in arround 3 weeks.

Thanks M8.
Reading other posts, it seems to be a common problem, but no solution. Will changing the gearbox oil help the situation?
Will a new gearbox help?
As I have bought the car from a dealer (not lexus). Should I take it back under warranty?

Hi.
I have recently purchased an IS 200 sport. 'Y' reg with 31000 miles on the clock.
I am having problems with getting it into 2nd and sometimes 3rd.
If i change gear quickly, it seems to bite (not crunch or grind).
If i change gear slowly it is fine. I am pressing the clutch fully each time i do this.
Do you have any idea what might be causing this?
-
I like the suround, not too sure on the number plate though ;)
-
This is exactly what i need to install a parrot into my lexus.
Do i need to e-mail prolex as the aux-in is not listed on there website?

Hi,
I'm new round here.
Just got myself an IS 200 sport.
I have a few questions that i'll be posting shortly, so be gentle. :mat:
Getting Rid Of Scratches.
in Lexus Car Care & Detailing
Posted
Right,
I had a deep scratch on the rear bumper which i touched up with some touchup paint. It now looks worse than the scratch. It won't polish out.
Has anyone got any tips on how to 'blend' it in to the bodywork.
I've got some t-cut, but i don't want to make it look even worse.
Please help.
