Looking good matey, you could give it another bend at the front if needed so it takes the edges downwards a bit? B)
-
Sounds like you have a black box/FCD problem matey, mine did the same when i didnt wire in the fcd properly when i fitted the charger? but not sure what you'll need to do? Have you got the FCD or the Black box on yours?
-
Sorted, and i now have steering again :)
So roll on JAPSHOW :D
-
Waiting on a track rod end mate, just rang and the chap has said it should be here by 12pm so will be there, should only take me 15 mins to fit :)
The one thats gone is unbelievable being as it passed its MOT 2 weeks ago? when i did the calipers yesterday i could move the wheel over an inch in and out on the steering :o
Did the MOT inspector have a labradore dog and dark glasses.
Thats downright dangerous.
No, but if i ever meet him he'll need them :tsktsk:
How its lasted over the past couple of weeks is amazing, i can lift the ball joint up out of the joint and the only thing holding it in is the ripped boot thats fitted :o
At least i now know why the steering wasnt very good?
-
Thats going to look very nice when its all back together mate, Look forward to seeing it at a meet/show soon :D

Cheers Guys and Girls, :)
2D that lexus is wasted as it sits there 99% of the time and never moves, its done just over 20,000 miles in 6 years

Have I been away that long?
Gotta meet up this week so I can take a look :)
Had it a couple of weeks now mate, since my lex had the fire
Will have to pop over and take you for a blast :D
Couple of pic's of my lex before the fire,
And one of it after

Glad they got to you ok mate :D On the engine cover mate just check where to bend it at the front of the engine as yours might sit different to mine?
And you should have plenty of the VHB tape for the skirts, just make sure you give the paintwork a good clean where it sticks to the car :)
Good package deal that :winky:

Looking good Chris, so did it rain just after you finished polishing it ??
No mate i polished it on Monday so its covered in crap at the moment, and i did the calipers this morning just before it rained :duh:
Gord will have to remember that as Nixus just wouldnt look the same
-
Looks great mate,
personally maybe your wheels could be a bit bigger?
Yes mate i know what you mean, been looking at a set of 19" for it, but will have to wait till i'm working again :)
-
yh the calipers stick out, and i cant believe yo actually want brake dust ! looks good cleaned and very shiny
Yes mate there a little bright at the moment Hopefully when i do the lettering on them they will look better? :)
-
Nice one Chris, cant grumble at a free oil change :D
Still think thats a great colour for the LS400 B)
-
i have ordered a kestrel machine - its just the same as a G220 or a PC but its far cheaper.. shinearama are the cheapest..... £75 and very cheap post... i got a 12kg packet sent to germany for £8... yes £8!!!
Thats a bit of a bargain mate :o
-

Done a couple of more bits, Gave it a good polish by hand (not had chance to give it a polisher session yet?) and painted the calipers this morning, The paints rather bright so could do with a layer of brake dust on them
And the calipers in a very bright red but still got to do the white lettering on them yet B)
Needs a wash again now
:D

not being funny but they look nothing like the trd skirts!!! qote from ebay
I have a pair of TRD style side skirts for the Lexus IS200 Lexus IS300 or Toyota Altezza.
the only thing thats the same as the trd skirts is that they attach to the sills!!
ps the look nasty!!!!
Yours are Original TRD skirts matey :D have you got them yet? :D
ye mate got them today at 9.45!!!will be getting painted monday or tuesday and fitted soon as the paint is dry!!just drawing out engine cover on to some mirror'd stainless!!!so will be cutting it out tomorrow and fitting it too.
has anyone told you ,your the man and thank you once again
ps i've heard of going ott on the wrapping but jesus!!!!
 i did say there was a mile of tape on them, was quite entertaining trying to wrap them up Before you cut the metal mate for the cover, put the paper on top of the engine just to check it fits between your covers and over the oil cap hole and cut it to shape if needed then draw round it on the metal? will save you having to trim it if its tight :)
-
It can be removed mate but just have to cut it out with something like a fine jigsaw blade or a dremil :)
