  1. I have lost/misplaced my locking wheel nut for my GS300 Sport, anyone know if these are available from the dealers and if there are numerous types of locking nuts. Anyone help please
  2. Apexi all the way. Sounds greaton the google video clip. I had an Apexi on my GTI-R years ago, great bit of kit, fitted like a glove as well. I think a few places sell Apexi over here or can get hold of it. DP Motorsport in Warrington used to sell it.
  3. Ran it for 60 miles after the crusing range went to past 0 to low fuel on the sat nav, was too scared to go any further. Might got for 70 miles next time.
  4. Maneesh, have you got sat nav on yours ? I posted a few weeks ago on this subject on the forum as I wanted to know how much left I have in the tank when the cruising range on the sat nav screen goes from 1 mile to low fuel reading (if you know what I mean). I have thought about driving it till it runs out but don't fancy pushing it if it runs out at the lights. Any ideas ????
  5. yes as the sport models, BM call it shadow line trim, which is basically a high gloss black finish, think it would look good on the GS. i did it on my old e46 325 i clipped the trim off and had it painted but a lot of people on the BM forums have masked theirs on the car and painted it. dont suffer form speed bumps in the north west luckily. :)
  6. thought about dechroming the window trim, quite fancy doing this myself and lowering it a bit more.
  7. will keep my eye on ebay and the forum, you never know. still looking for a front lip spoiler for my sport, looks like that will be a dealer job but am reluctant to pay the £229 they want for a bit of plastic. they do look good the facelift rear lights though.
  8. Maneesh, any change to the wiring or connectors when swapping these ? Also whats the £ for these, I take it a main dealer affair ? Thanks Jon
  9. the mrs has got a 118d which has the less powerful 122 brake engine and the best we've had from it is 49mpg and that was taking it easy, round town its about 37mpg. i went from a 51 plate 325 BM to a GS300 Sport and the mpg on the GS is shocking compared to the BM. its that bad i am thinking about selling it and ive only had it 5 weeks. the read out on the sat nav is showing between 27-28 on the motorway which isn't bad its just that i seem to be visiting the petrol station a hell of a lot more than i was before. Its not just the GS mate. IS just as bad then ? What do you get from yours ?

  11. 62 you are having a laugh with that figure, is that doing 25 in 6th on the motorway. you wont get that from it i will guarantee you. All the best Paul. Ive been looking at some BMW's tooo :duh: 330 sport :o I've just come from a e46 325ci to a GS300 Sport and the mpg is shocking compared to my old BMW. I am seriously thinking of changing my GS for something else. The 330 sport is 227bhp. Would have thought it would have been more powerful. I was going to get the 325ci sport coupe, wont insure me on the 330ci (for reasonable money). The diesel engines on the beemers are the way to go. Gotta say with the M kit on them they do look the nuts, unfortunately ten a penny. Why does the is200 have such poor fuel economy? Its improved now with the s/c but its not far off my mates wrx impreza!! :o BTW Jasper good luck with the car and post on here to tell us what you think in comparrison to owning the lex. P.S Change your 'mechanic' lol!!
  12. what can you expect to pay for an import SC ?
  13. The mrs has a 1 series diesel and gets 52 to the gallon which makes me a bit sick. :D . Dude, you can't go comparing a GS300 Sport to a 1 series diesel in terms of fuel economy. Chalk and cheese. :duh: To be honest, if you wanted a biggish car with amazing economy, you are best off getting a Mondeo TDCi 130 or a Vectra 1.9 CDTi 150 (but manual, the auto versions are pants). I've driven so many modern diesels, and quite frankly they only shine when cruising on motorways. That's where the GS makes life comfy, it's effortless to drive it around town. I considered buying a 2 year old Mundano, which would have been far more economical to run, than a 7 year old GS. However, a Lexus really pampers you, it makes you feel special. Don't you just love the looks on passenger's faces when they see the steering wheel retract once pulling the key out? I find it's all the small things that make the GS a pleasure to own. The Xenon lights are wonderful, the engine is creamy smooth, the gearbox shifts well, the speedo dials are cool, and the centre armrest is just so comfy and well placed. Best of all, it's got excellent cupholders - what more do you need in life??? :D Not too sure Lexus and LPG go together well. Haven't heard of many conversions. Someone else on here might be able to help. How many miles a year do u normally do? I do approx 400 a week mainly to and back to work on the motorway and a bit of town driving at the weekends. I've always had decent performance cars so I suppose I should no better then to worry about the GS being heavy. I went thru a spate of having jap imports starting at a GTI-R, then a GT4 Celica, Sti version 5 so running them on super used to hit the pocket quite a bit and I moddfied most of them mainly the Sti. Out of interest do you know the Lexus colour name for my car, its the silver pearl colour. Cheers Jon
  14. Maneesh cheers for the reply, had a manual Beemer, I know what you mean on the rarity of the Sport models, I haven't seen another one yet on the road and come to think of it I've only seen 2 other GS's in the 3 weeks I've had it and I see Audis, BM's, Merc's every single day. I may look into going down the LPG route if I can make it pay for its self. The mrs has a 1 series diesel and gets 52 to the gallon which makes me a bit sick. :D . Having said all of the above the GS would leave my old 325 for dead performance wise. So I suppose its swings and roundabouts when you look at it like that.
  15. I did think the range was inaccurate, I have come from a e46 325 BM to a GS300 and the range readout on the BM is constantly updating the range figure, so if you are easy on the gas the range figure goes up and down if you are pushing on. The MPG on the GS is crap compared to the BM which had a 6 cylinder engine also. I seem to be visiting the petrol station a lot more than I am used to, the best average MPG I have had in the GS is 27 and that was taking it rather easy on the motorway. I am yet to fill the GS to the brim so dont know what it will take to fill it and how many miles I will get from a completely filled tank. What can I expect from the above ? I dont know if I am regretting buying a Lexus and wonder how long I will keep it for. I really do like it but just wish it was a bit cheaper to run. :( Someone tell me I shouldn't be regretting buying my GS !!!!!!
  16. don't worry about it. Carry a plastic can of fuel! :winky: I knew I joined this forum for such helpful advice. :D Anyone know ?
  17. Guys When the cruising range on the GS300 sat nav screen reads "low fuel" how many miles/litre of fuel are left in the tank ? Cheers
