  1. Gents, I am an idiot, indeed, my floor mat was the culprit!!!!!!!
  2. :tsktsk: Driving down the A1065 today, in 4th, about 40 MPH, waiting to pass, tool long await when my turning came up, so accelerated slightly in turning lane when Car suddenly accelerated by itself and revs shot up to 7,000, car increased in speed dramatically scaring the C**p out of me until I took car out of gear and coasted, engine still racing, slowed down to pull over to stop engine and revs returned to normal and car drove fine rest of the way home. Any ideas apart from telling Lexus that I could have been killed?
  3. Finally able to possibly help somebody out. Believe it or not, mine was brakes. It stopped eventually, all by itself. Try to see if not applying the brakes at low speeds over the same bump( if possible) and see if you hear the same clunk? I discovered mine by doing that, replacing the brakes and copper grease (not on the rotors) :winky: in the right place was a remedy given to me. it did not appear to cause any issue, just annoying.
  4. Does anyone know if Brake pads for an 03 IS300 will fit on a IS200?
  5. Thanks, mentioned this too, but it has never done this when braking, only minor bumps and turning.
  6. My mechanic actually drilled very small hole in the joints and greased them. No joy, but thanks for the info.

  8. :shutit: Sorry, accidentally posted this in the GS300 section!!! I need the experts on this one. My Lexus has developed the "Creak", my local garage ( thank you) does not want to spend my money changing parts that do not need it. They gave the ball joints a looking at, but the creaking is still there. Turning, or our wonderful roads here cause it to raise it's ugly head. Can anyone out there help? To me, it's in the left back, but my garage heard it while trying to put it on the ramp, they say especially when turning the steering, which means the front??? Any advice gratefully received.
  9. :tsktsk: Sorry, posted this question in the GS300 section, have reposted in IS200, if the moderator would be so kind, he may delete this post
  10. Does anyone have a spare plastic cover or know wher I can get one cheaper that 50 poundsFor the the Lexus IS200 or Toyota. Plastic cover broke. Will email a picture of my IS 200 sitting next to a US Air Force F-15E Strike EagleFighter Bomber to first reply.
  11. Would like to thank who ever it was for suggesting replacing Plugs on my I200SE to Denso IK20, noticable difference on pick up! Strange, plugs removed (original) were NGK, and not Denso. On a seperate note, is there an easy way to get to the Oil filter, want to change my oil every 6 months, had to get local garage to do it, as my small ramps in the driveway were insufficient. Fram 3614 will work on UK spec IS200, but did not notice any valve inside, any thoughts?
  12. Just ordered Plugs and Filter for my Brit Spec IS200. Is this a good deal? 6 - Denso Iridium plug Stock Number: 5304 Part Number: IK20 Unit Price: $11.99 Extended Price: $71.94 1 - K&N Replacement Air Filter Stock Number: 33-2845 Part Number: 33-2845 Unit Price: $35.37 Extended Price: $35.37 Subtotal: $107.31 Discount: $0.00 Tax: $0.00 Shipping & Handling: $11.05 (USPS Priority Mail) Total: $118.36
  13. Working on a US Military Base means I have access to US auto parts. I would prefer to just get a decent set of Plugs, but not take a loan out for them. Can anyone suggest a good US part number that will work in an 03 IS200 SE.
