  1. Thank you for the comments about the car and the wheels. It does shovel a bit, I can not tell if the engine is running or not at lights, so have to push the gas a little to see if the car is engine is still running or not lol It is quiet, but when the turbos go you can hear them and the engine at its full power, but I have not yet taken it to a track or to the German Auto Bahn yet... 70mph is the most I have done in the UK of course... :D I have not yet used the Cruise Control (which is in Japanese so don't really know what to press!) Mat
  2. Me and my mate have a nice GS300 import from Japan, that has 19 inch alloys and a nice bodykit all round with a low profile rear spoiler. Nice to meet everyone here. :) Mat
  3. I've added a pic of the GS300 import so you can see it when I post. It has quite shiny wheels :) The car is still work in progress, and am looking to modify it further.
  4. I am going to bring my digi cam along to take some pics of all the cars (if allowed to). The cars wouldnt have to be GS300s or modified in any way or form. Perhaps at least a furry dice? Im not looking for any wheel spins or show offs. Lexus's are more luxury than wheel spin bad boys anyway lol. Anyone else for up a weekend afternoon meet at Sea View in Bournemouth? Hope it's a sunny one. Mat
  5. Yeah Sea View is good. My mate knows where that is. It looks all over Poole, and has a little place you can have tea. You can drive in to it, then has an exit. It is also free parking, has a lovely sea view and a great place to meet other Lexus enthusiasts and have an Ice Cream, perhaps on a Sunny weekend day, watching DVDs in the GS300. We are up for it. Have a sound out competition (Bass, volume etc). But also a quiet and nice afternoon looking at other Lexus cars. We could do it as a 'All lexus owners welcome', but mainly a GS300 import meet. Anyone else interested? Mat
  6. We have emailed Trents to find out how much he will be looking for it. Also will phone them tommorow. Thank you for offering to fit it for us. Sounds like you know what your talking about... I will of course be willing to pay towards the fitting. Is is a difficult job? Cheers mate. Mat
  7. Would be great to meet other imported GS300 (Aristo) owners in the Bournemouth area. Me and my mate have a modified GS300 with a nice bodykit. We are looking to do it up more and any help would be nice. Would be great to see other versions of this car and see what other people have done to them. Perhaps a nice sunny weekend meet with a coffee and a sandwich!! Cheers everyone. :) mat_b_2006@hotmail.co.uk
  8. Is that bad? The garage I took it to said not to worry about it, it's normal.... It is an Aristo TT like yours, it has a toyota badge on the steering wheel. The steering wheel is only worn on the top, could be the sun? It has quite low mileage about 70k (km). Do you think it has been clocked? The car is in very good condition though (emitting the top of the steering wheel), it has DVD screen, autobox, japanese buttons all over it lol, and has lovely alloys that shine away :) It also has a fat bodykit fitted to it, with a lage front spoiler and a low profile rear spoiler. Mat PS: I am new to Lexus's /Aristos this is my first one.
  9. Hmm, trents yeah, they had that fire recently didnt they that caused that power cut all around everywhere here lol. Anyway yeah good idea mate! How much will it cost do you think? And also where is the best place to go to have it fitted? Is it the whole steering wheel including the airbag? Or is it just a cover or somthing? Btw, I tried Halfords, but their covers are too small. My 1993 GS300 has a slightly larger steering wheel. I think the newer GS300 model has smaller steering wheels than the older models? I went to the Lexus Garage, and Toyota garage today, but neither could point me in the right direction about my imported Lexus steering wheel problem. Some nice cars there mind you, all around the 35 grand mark! Thanks for all your help guys. :) Mat
  10. Thank you for the warm welcome. :) I would prefer not to use fleabay. Is there any where else at all I could try? In the shops I go to, they only do one size, and the Lexus GS300 steering wheel seems to be bigger than the covers. Any ideas? Cheers, Mat
  11. The car is: GS300, 1993 (k-reg) and has a grey interior. I am looking for a steering wheel cover, perhaps leather or at least one that looks right. My steering wheel is worn on top only, could that be from the sun? Or is it just normal wear and tear? Please help, thank you. Mat
  12. A very slow oil leak it is. Each week I get a little oil left on a newspaper I put down. It is nothing major, the garage I took it to said not to worry about it. I have to check the oil quite frequently, but that is the same with other old cars anyway. Is it going to be a problem, and perhaps you guys could help me find where the leak is coming from? Thanks - I am new here. :) Mat
  13. I am looking for a nice grey leather steering wheel cover for my 1993 Lexus GS300. I have a grey interior, with a worn down grey steering wheel. Any ideas where I could purchase a nice cover(glove) for my steering wheel within the UK? I have seen some USA sites, but would prefer to buy here in the UK. Please help. Thanks!
