Hello to anyone! i have ignition barrel problems the black cap is fine ,security light works from there ,but not from barrel !A friend says i can't reprogramme the fob till the light comes on?Is this true? Is this a common problem? The car runs fine and everything on barrel works now as was STUCK IN ACC but sorted now! Just the remote is not working,had aux belts and timing belt off it for a week while replacing water pump battery went dead! ANY HELP THANKS? GAZ2001

looking to purchase a ls430 ideally on lpg for £3500 is this realistic, are there many around, do you know of any. Saw one yesterday 03, 193k large lpg tank. In small dealership in wycombe area dealer says "Some" service history. Car drives A1 nervous of miles and limited history. Any advice out there very welcome. lot of car to go wrong.

I am looking for some expert advice. Running a 57 plateis 220d 100k mileage. Have white/ blue smoke coming out of exhaust especially pulling of in 2nd & 3rd not so much when revving stationary. No loss of power and all oil/ water levels good. Had a new DPF fitted 3 months ago but only now noticed problem. Help

Unfortunately I will have to leave it outside (on street parking).However, I did a quick test and you can open the boot from the outside, as long as you unlock the drivers door with the key (which releases all locks).
If you use the fob or touch to lock the vehicle, the alarm will go off when you open the door with the key (although if the battery is disconnected I believe the alarm is disabled).
But you can use the key to lock the car once you have disconnected the 12V battery.
