  1. Alright folks.

Over the past few evenings ive been trying to fit the new greddy intelegent infometer touch. However after trying many different combinations i cant get it to turn on! The older model may have the same wires etc which was the normal infometer, has anyone fitted one before or read japanese lol. I thought it would be a straight forward plug and play but there are 4 wires which i tought would connect to each other but not sure now. Coming from the plug they are pins 1 and 9 i think.

this was the instructions i got with it.

    Anyone got any ideas?

  2. I've found out where they are supposed to go but for some strange reason they have been cut short.

I think they are supposed to be connected to a circuit board thing on the left hand side of the unit. Possibly something to do with sensing where the screen mount is located. I just need to find out what wire is supposed to go where out of the three on the board, extend and solder.

I would post pics up however my camera is dead at the moment and i cant find the cable to connect my phone.

Once this is done and my greddy infometer arrives i plan on housing it in there as something a bit defferent, i may make a carbonfibre surround to take up the space as there will be about 20mm around it.

  3. Alright folks, im in the middle of trying to get a housing to fold up and down.

I have tried the above but it only opens, and in three stages. There are three wires coming out from the side which are the same colours and side at the ones going to the switch, would this have been for another switch (behind the gear stick?) or should i use this for the live feed etc?

Been trying various combinations but not having much luck.

    Any help much appreciated,

    cheers

    Jay

  4. where is ur stand Jay ? do u have a plot number ?

Yeh i believe we're plot 76 although their still making finial changes etc and as we are a small group we may end up getting shifted.

cant wait though, so much stuff to organise and cram into the car, i'll be lucky if i have any diffuser left by the time i get there lol.

  5. if it is the same quickshift as the ones from Austria...contact

    </a>

they seem to have been having the same rattle problems after instalation in NZ

Cheers mat, i fired them an e-mail, not quite sure if it was to the rite address as none of their website is in englih lol.

Would like to get it fixed as it was annoying just driving to edinburgh but jae will be a 20hour round trip lol.

  6. Alright folks, i will be there although im afraid to say i shall be on another stand.

We have our own stand this year which is a first, for those who remember the green leaf on m car things have escalated from that into a whole forum and site JDMtas.com ( MFC )

I shall pop over for more late night s/c impressions lol.

  7. I have the prolex one, excelent peice of kit but i somehow managed to break the two plastic washer things that slide into the mount. As a result of this it rattles quite a bit. This could be down to me though as seconds after recieving it i got a phone call from my work asking me to come in so it was a rushed job as i couldn't wait lol. Took me all of about 2 mins. Need to find somewhere to buy replacement parts though.

  8. where would i get a set of those arches in the pic at the top?

Dont know yet im trying to get in contact with the owner of the car but not having much luck. If you find them let me know lol. Was looking at the ones mat has but judging by the pics i think i need more room lol.

With getting the arches rolled and puled out a bit how much room can you gain?

  9. I dont think it was possible to get it to fit at all, it was totally different, would perhaps make sense though if it wasn't a 100% fit then it could have worn etc.

Still got it lying in the garage somewhere i think, the clip on it is totally different and there is no "lugs" for the other one to fit securely considered pulling the two apart to make one but i figured if there would be something to go wrong it would be that lol.

  10. I fitted one with the help of a friend. With the whole its who you know i got to use a set of ramps one thrusday night. Was a bit of stress though as the release bearing didn't fit (Helix stock the wrong one for the IS200).

Although in saying that though ive had trouble with my gears lately but i think thats something different lol.

  11. Sounds like the pressure plate/release bearing. If they are worn or warped then it will not allow the clutch to seperate from the flywheel, causing grinding when engaging when stationary. Will also cause you some notchy gearshifts too.

Hm....... it was a new one that we fitted when we did the clutch and flywheel, would it be possible that it just wasn't up to the job and gave up eary. It only really started happening when i get it back from the garage when they were carrying out the ecu work, it was on and off the dyno all the time for ages so could this have killed it? It was just a standard one which we put back on as the one which came with the lutch didn't fit!

  12. Alright folks, need to rack your brains here, i've bought a set of wheels although i was a bit optimistic and they dont fit that great. After looking through thousands of pics to find a wide arch kit i came across this, does anyone know what they are or where to get some?

    money_slammed_web.jpg

Was thinking of getting arches rolled but that would require a re-spray etc.

The wheels are Work Meisters , they are 38 offset and 235 wide so as you can imagine they stck out a bit lol.

  13. Alright folks, been having trouble selecting gears when stationary, the problem seems to go away a bit once moving and then its fine again.

i tought it might have been the ball joint part of the gear shift being worn as that happened in my mazda so i bought the short shifter from prolex and it seemed fine but is back to its old tricks. The other weird thing is that its not constant, sometimes its fine but the majority of the time i have to force it in which i can imagine isn't doin it any favours.

I put in a new clutch a few months back but was fine after wards, its like theres something in there which occasionlly jams it. Bled the clutch and that made no difference, although it was just a 5 min job perhaps theres still air in there somewhere but as i said once im moving its fine again, just seems to be for 1st and reverse that are the main problem

Spoke to lexus and they claim to have never had anything like it, anyone got any suggestions?
