  1. Doesn't sound as though it's imminent then! Shame!!
  2. Hoping to buy the RZ450e when it arrives, hopefully later this year. Does anybody have any information about this vehicle.? I believe it is going to be similar to the Toyota BZ4X but even that hasn't appeared here on the Isle of Wight as yet.
  3. Can I have a new membership card asap please/

  4. 1. You can buy upgrade discs, which are published annually, but there seem to be various opinions as to when they are published. My dealer says March but others have had different advice. The new disc costs between £150 and £190, again depending on who you ask! 2. My daughter has a device which plugs her iPod into the cassette player but the sound quality isn't brilliant.
  5. Do the dealers really know about this? Mine told me the upgrades come out every March!
  6. Probably way too late for you but I had to change all 4 after about 26,000 miles (2 worn, 1 damaged sidewall and prefer to buy pairs) (Kwikfit are keeping the other for me, as a potential replacement in the future). After a bit of research, (Tanvic/ATS/Walkers/Thorntons/Kwikfit) I chose a set of Continentals. Cost me over £500! Only problem was that the tracking was way out and took three adjustments to get right, but this may have been caused by the impact which damaged the sidewall of the originals. Thus far, the Continentals have performed faultlessly, although I do have a slight sense that the steering is marginally heavier.
  7. Generally, I'm delighted with my car (which I've now had for 2 years and 28,000 miles) but I do have some minor niggles and wonder if anyone has solved them. 1. The rear view camera is brilliant EXCEPT AT NIGHT! The reversing lights are nothing like bright enough. Even using the fog rear light too doesn't give a clear image. Any ideas? 2. When on a long journey, I like to have the RDS traffic announcements enabled. It is infuriating when the radio then cuts out, intermittently, sometimes several times a minute, without going to traffic news, and you lose a few seconds of the broadcast to which you're listening. This can mean missing keywords and losing the sense of the programme. (I predominantly listen to Radio 4.) This never happened in any of my last three vehicles, all of which had the RDS system (all SAABs). My dealer simply says it's a very sensitive system! Any ideas? 3. The AM reception (for Radio 5 Live) is lousy! Again, the SAABs were infinitely superior. Surely a supposedly top of the range Mark Levinson sound system should be better than this?
  8. Is anyone else aware of a problem with the driver and front passenger seats on the RX 400h SE L. I have been having pain and discomfort at the base of my spine for several months now. After months of considerable worry as to what the cause and prognosis might be, I have just discovered the problem to be the small but hard "buttons" which can be felt in the centre of the seat swab, near where it joins the backrest, of my car. Is there an easy modification which will solve this problem? If not, can the seats be replaced under warranty? Do newer models still have these seat "buttons"? (My car was new in January 2006.) Knowing the Lexus reputation for quality of customer service, I hope that they will be willing and able to resolve this issue. I am taking advice as to whether I should take this matter further.
  9. I have had an RX 400h SE-L since February. Totally agree with the comments about fuel consumption .... very disappointing so far .... 27.5 overall over 4000 miles .... BUT it has been cold .... it is still new ..... large percentage on high speed motorway driving .... SO I'll reserve judgement. More disappointing is the range. I'm getting just about 300 miles on a full tank, 100 less than on my SAAB 9-5 SE. Very annoying! A bigger tank would be nice but I guess there's little room left after adding two electric motors? And what about the indicators? Mine refuses to self cancel on leaving roundabouts, etc. Lexus Leicester tell me it's a recognised Lexus quirk but not regarded as a fault and there's no remedy. Is this correct or does anyone know better? Generally, I'm still delighted but there are some things I miss from the SAAB Information system, notably Distance to Empty; Estimated Time of Arrival; Speed Warnings. And why oh why do the wretched windows and Moonroof open if you hold the remote button for too long? What is that all about? I didn't know about this and came back to find a very wet interior on one rainy day. Sound system is great but why is there a cassette player and no MP3 option? Very dated! Mostly minor niggles. It's still a super car.
