  1. Got a Wii on ebay last week. what an amazing machine! have been playing Redsteel ever since (in between beating the missus at tennis!). Anyone else got one? What games you got? Has anyone actually finished Redsteel I could do with some tips!

Iv been wii-ing for a week or so now! Its great fun! Took some time getting used to the controls for red steel but am quite in to it now, especially liked the two player game (reminds me quite alot of N64 golden eye.) Not yet near finishing it though, been too distracted playing zelda- excellent game, very playable! :D

  2. Er... excuse me for perhaps being dim... but isn't the truck thus facing the wrong way, and must have done some really acrobat spin/reverse thing in order to face the way it is now, assuming it was of course travelling from RHS to the left, head first...

    - and any ideas how they made it from one side of the tunnel/ledge to the other!? :duh:

  3. With the first link- im not too sure ;) ,as that model doesnt look as commonly sold as the AV650MFs, and comparing the price the package looks a bit cheap for everything it says is included!

As for the second link- personally i would stay away from screens with built in speakers as i imagine they wouldnt produce very good sound compared to the car's speakers.

  4. Hi mate,

You could try these by veba, i have them and found the picture quality is pretty good.

Also they come with the headrest mounting bracket, and are flush fitting -with all the buttons on the supplied remote. You can also use IR headphones with them so the people in the back can have seperate audio to those in the front- if you set it up that way!

I think theyre a bit dearer than the pioneer ones though.

  5. I WANT SOME!

    PIMP!

that's some pretty strong perspex!? I like them, get well annoying having to take them off to clean the back from all the break dust though.

You could get the guy at the lights to squeegee them!

...now all we need is bling calipers and brake disks...oh n wheel arch lights!

  6. Altezza?

    Nope.

front or rear wheel drive? i think thats a fair question

    Rear. Still a saloon.

Are you sticking with Lexus? Can't be an IS250 as think they're slower, possibly a GS300?

    20 questions!??!!!?

    Yes to the first.

    No to the 2nd.

    :question::shifty: to the third :)

Easy clue... only 250 are being made for the UK...

Oh, and my current car is for sale! :)

From the last comment sounds like the - GS300 Limited Edition!

You got it AJ mate. No need for any abusing of any kind of position lol.

    Just a little research!

But erm, no prize as such :tomato:

Will get it delivered in a week or so...

    D. :D

Doh...i knew i should have waited till the prize was sorted.lol

kinda cheated though- had the brochure on my desk.

...the LE does look very smart!

  8. ....yup -good result!

-coulda been worse-my seller from ebay didnt wanna know! lol

AJ depending on what scorcher has to do with the defective led's perhaps he may be in a position to sell you the offside LED cluster from mine which are still working. Why don't you pm him.

    Good idea...cheers. :winky:

  9. all u need 2 do is respray ur car red, and u can pretend he wrote the lyrics bout ur ride...lol

...anyone know a good paint shop! :hehe:

Heres another classic no ones mentioned:

    "I stay, dressed, to impress

    Spark these b1tches interest

    s*x is all I expect

as they watch TV in the Lex..." - Nasty girl, Notorious BIG

...iv quoted that one a few times! (-usually they just turn off the TV! :( )

  10. Ha ha- good post!

"neck full of gold, baguettes on my Rolls, rap shows collect those extra O's,buy the E,get a key to the LEX to hold"- Ma$e- Feel So Good

.... I think he mentions the Lex a few times in that song!

Heres the quote from it one of my mates pointed out to me:

"Yo, what you know about goin’ out

Head west, red lex, tv’s all up in the headrest"

-there must be some more from other artists....

  11. Where the best to get the LED rear light and how much?

Also anyone can tell me the quality of the lights?

    Thanks

I'd tread a bit carefully with these, me and one or two others have had some problems. See here and here.

-Still waiting to hear from the makers of the lights.

  12. The problem with applying tint film to anything other than glass is the different expansion rates of the materials, resulting in the tint film splitting and cracking when applied to the outer part of a plastic lens.

I discussed this with Richard, of Tint-R in Nottingham, who is probably the best tinter in the country and he refuses to tint the outside of plastic lights, for love or money.

I came across this, and thought there might be other companies that offer tints that are specially for lights. (...but no so far away!)

  13. A few guys over on My.IS have removed the lenses using a diamond cutter wheel and Dremel tool, but it requires some expert experience :o

... I might actually give this a go! The light is pretty useless to me anyway. Might be worth just cutting in to the plastic around the LED board to access it, that way it'd be covered once its back in anyway so any unsightly glue marks'll be hidden. ;)

    - The other thing i was thinking of was to perhaps tint the glass of the oem light. Anyone had any success with that before/ recommend a company in london to do it?

(btw-seen the stickers for this on ebay- but they dont look very good and look a bit dark for safe use!?)

  14. Out of interest where did you buy yours from? Just that me and the other member bought ours from the same place so would be interesting to see if we all bought from the same place.

I got mine off eBay :tomato: -could only ever found them on there, but they were Depo brand ones and from what looked like an ok seller.

The late spec ones do sound like a good idea, anyone got a pic of them? price?

    - dont really wanna put the old ones back, on the bright chrome will stand out too much (black car)!!

For the LED rears you'll probably find that one LED has failed and is stopping a whole strip from working (you'll probably find they're wired with 5 or 6 in series). Shorting one LED at a time within the dead row will show which one's gone. Don't leave it shorted though, as it'll overdrive the whole row and take out another one. Just get a replacement and solder it in, assuming this isn't too difficult a job on these lights. You may want to buy a few different ones from Maplin and fit the one that's closest in brightness to the rest.

Good idea, but it looks like ill have to warm up the oven to get inside because they're silicon sealed- ill keep it as a last resort though!
