  1. As did i, the bulb looked blue but shone as an ice white colour when installed
  2. Lights with the HID effect blue tint are fine as they shine within the accepted temperature range. However any lights that shine a true blue colour are technically illegal as it is classed as 'impersonating an emergency vehicle'. This goes for all blue lights including sidelights and those blue lights you sometimes see on window washer nozzles. However my girlfriend drove around in her golf with blue sidelights for over two years and never got pulled. I think if you ever got pulled over, you would simply be told to remove the lights, unless the copper was having a bad day. Mark
  3. There's also a way to knock about 3p off a liter of petrol using cashback cards. I drive close to 3,000 miles a month :duh: and these cards give a little back. The basis is if you pay your card off in full each month the credit card company will reimburse you with a % of what you have spent that month. The best two are the shell credit card that gives you 3% off all petrol purchases at shell (6% for first two months), or the cashback barclaycard that gives 2% off all petrol. Just pay for your fuel with the card and then pay off the card every month, and you have effectively knocked a little off the price of fuel. Its not a lot but its free money ;) . http://www.citibank.co.uk/personal/cards/d...&offer=A154 http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/products/apply/platinum293.html Mark
  4. As far as i am aware, shell optimax and Bp ultimate have additional additives in the fuel that supermarkets don't have. Not sure what those additives do, perhaps help keep the engine cleaner?
  5. Yes i signed up a year back but totally forgot about this forum until the other week. That is not a mistake i will make again!
  6. Hi How long did it take for the geometry? Cheers
  7. Hi I have had my IS200 for a year now and the radio is really starting to annoy me. It can pick up a fm signal fine and it never looses signal. However it constantly jumps from stereo to mono as it seem the radio can not lock onto stereo for some reason. This makes listening to music on the radio very unplesant. Although the stereo is a clear signal, every 10 mins or so the signal mutes for 10 seconds or so whilst it finds a stronger signal. Also i hardly get any traffic reports whilst driving, and i drive all round the country so this is invaluable. Had to use my girlfriends 206 last week for a trip from Manchester to London. Despite the worst drive of my life, the radio picked up traffic reports every 15 mins or so which really helped avoid accidents. Can anyone help me with this problem? Cheers
  8. Hi, I've used several transmitters and have not been happy with any but the one linked below. Most i have tried produce a poor quality should, or interference from the engine can be heard. This transmitter can overpower radio 1 so your ipod can be heard over the frequency radio 1 uses. Good news for people like me who travel round the country and don't want to keep rescanning for a new FM frequency. Its downside is the ipod does not plug into it, you have to use the provided phono (3.5mm) to phono cable. This does mean you can use and device with phono out, but it wont charge your ipod. link: http://www.supermediastore.com/insten-appl...ar-charger.html I purchased this item from UK but cant remember where from, but this is the same item.
