I was thinking that too, but it would be nice to know how much you can get flat out on the "track" of course.

Buy an Apexi RSM if you want to delimit the car for "track" days... it will give laps etc.... add on a g-force sensor for more useless but fun data :)

Oh and it also shows the speed acheived... be sure to reset it before driving back on the road near any cops... lol

You can buy aftermarket speedos but they cost ALOT....

So whats the most you got out of yours at the "track" Noel? Did you fit one of these too?

Just curious has anyone changed the standard speedo in the RS200 to show your speed when you doing more than 180km( not that i drive at this illegal speed!) Do i need to replace the whole unit with an aftermarket? Do i have to get it delimited? So many questions and i havent even picked the car up yet! 14 hours and counting!!

Ye mines a manual, i'm sure it wil sound very similar. I should have the car tommorrow just getting it registered. I was going to get the garage to NCT it but ill have to wait 3 weeks for a slot. No way i could wait that long! so ill just go and sit at one of the test centres and wait for a cancellation. No point in putting the filter on before the NCT.... one reason less for them too fail my baby!!

ill post up a clip too when i get mine installed. see if there is a difference!

On the same note on the Taka Kaira site it recommends that you purchase the Super AFC-2 when you but a filter but didn't know that sensor could handle teh difference in airflow. Cheers Noel

Hi Noel that intake sounds great did you fit it yourself? If so what a big job or fairly straight-forward "bolt here", "insert A into pipe C" or more than that?

Do you have to get the ECU settings or anything like changed after you install the kit because of the more air coming into the engine?

Another quick question, what is that little aerial thing you have on your dash to the right of your steering wheel? i noticed it on your video clip

Hi guys picking up my RS200 in the next day or 2, just waiting for it to get registered. First thing i need to get on it is an alarm and immobiliser. Thinking something along the lines of a clifford, not too expensive, 500 Euro fitted(max). Should i buy one online? anyone know a good place i can get one installed in Ireland?

ok so where can i get this RON juice? and do u have to use it on a continuous basis or can yo u just stick it in 4 instant power boost. Dont really know much about different fuel types, Goin from a civic 1.4 to a RS200 so ill have to start researching more to get the most out of my baby!!

i should have one within the next fortnight. i have a *cough* contact in lexus who's keeping an eye out for me. anything but green, really. so black, silver or gun metal grey i suppose. blue would be ok.

been trying to figure out the difference between the IS200 and IS200 sport. is there a simple explanation?

Sorry dont sound to mean like a total noob but whats mr morse talkin about? What is RON and is it just a nick name for Unleaded 95? There is a good Shell down the road from me, ill check it out tommorrow and see are they still stocking V-Power

Hi Noel, i thought i saw a few places that do it, do the Shell garages not do something similar: Shell V-Power? Never actually used it so i don't know how it peforms. Can you not just use standard unleaded 95 and use some of them additive bottles you can buy to bring it up to Unleaded 98

I bought a set of 4 "215/45/17" from eiretyres just last week.... good value.... €510 euro delivered, cost €50 to get them fitted and balanced + new valves on top of that .... cheep.... although took alot of ringing around to find a place that would fit tyres that they didn't supply!

I went for Toyo proxes T1-R and are very impressed so far..... looks wise they actually look thin due to the new design, if you want FAT look go for F1's....

These Toyos have a rim protector too.. ;)

Cool Noel thanks for the Info, dont think i could afford to run it on super unleaded al the time!! maybe just for the cruises and that! Does the every be any lexus club meets in Ireland? How much did that APEXI induction kit set you back? Have to get myself a good alarm first so i can sleep safe at night knowing ill at least here the alarm going off as someone tries to rob it!

Hey guys heres a pic of the current state of my calipers and wheel hub. As you can see the hub is gone fairly rusty looking. i only bought the car so just trying to tidy it up a bit. Trying to decide what colours to go for and need some advice from members with similar colour altezzas.

Hi guys just wondering if anyone has used www.eiretyres.com to get any tyres for their Rs200. Does anyone know whats a good set of tyres(that wont break the bank!) i can get to fit the standard 17" alloy that comes on the Rs200. Anyone from Ireland get these fitted in Dublin?

1. Did yours come with those side skirts and front lip? if not where did u get them?

2. Have you done any performance mods to yours, if so what and where did u get the work done?

3. What BHP were you pushing out when you bought it? and whats she at now?

Thanks SCarFace, Had a read through that link and wasnt that helpful. Havent picked up my car yet so i dont now if it has a dvd drive or cd drive. Is the satnav drive the one in the dash or is it located elsewhere in the car? Couldnt find any drives on eBay

My mate did the same thing a long time ago.

Sinmple purchase a UK sat nav disk drive, plug in and hey presto....

.... He sourced his on e bay fairly cheap think's its off a toyota, can find out for sure if required.

Hi Guys, im only new to this site, i recently bought a Toyota Altetzza RS200 her in Dublin, i will have it next week. Bought it from my uncles place, he specialises in jap imports. Had a quick glance through this site and it seems to have a wealth of knowledge! Ill post up a few pics soon. It has so much tuning potential! Just wondering about the sat nav system. It has the software for Japan only. How do i go about changing this to Irish /Europe maps? Is the a way to change the software?
