  1. Well, I got my car back yesterday and :D :D :D :D :D it is fixed. Apparently it has had the 5th Injector replaced with amended parts and the ecu replaced. It is as if it is a different car. I am so impressed and I must say that the team at Lexus Manchester have been fantastic. Jonathan
  2. I know exactly what you mean. The way round it is to once you have arrived at your destination press the "to call" buttonon the steering wheel. This should bring up the in call screen. Then press the "transfer button" on screen to transfer the call back to the handset. I hope this works Jonathan
  3. As promised here is where we are up to...... From the outset let me tell you Lexus Manchester have been fantastic. My car as you will see from an earlier post was only delivered to them on Wednesday afternoon and by Friday I am in a ML 320CDI (Lexus themselves had no cars available so they hired me this one :) ). Anyway back to the point, I spoke with their service people and apparently they have ordered a part and this I believe has not fixed the problem :duh: so we will wait and see. On another note I raised the question of the low fuel consumption 32-35 on a good run!!! and their immediate response was we will look into this as well. I hope these two issues can be resolved soon, I welcome any of your comments on the trouble I am having. It might be an idea if we can get the Administrators to create a topic where we can list all the known faults on this vehicle and any possible resolutions. Jonathan
  4. Oh well I have an IS220d SE MM (55 Jan 31) I have it since september (had 3500 on clock when I got it). Have since done about 2000 miles with no problems apart from 31mpg on a good run (that's another issue). Anyway on the way to a meeting this morning I was doing 70 on the motorway and the vsc check comes up in the message window along with the vsc light and engine management light. i'm just waiting for the RAC to attend as advised by Lexus Manchester so will keep you all posted.... :-(
  5. Thanks, for the quick responses. I found the 'hidden' menus, unfortunately not much use. It is just a damn shame that I have a 28k car and I am unable to access things like the mobile phone keypad whilst driving. in my opinion that is more dangerous as it encourages people to then use the keypad on the actual phone. on this one I am going to contact Lexus (GB) and lets see what they have to say. As regards the fuel injector issues, i'm due to do a long motorway journey Manchester (-) London return and lets see what I get mpg wise, i'll keep you all posted. Cheers Jonathan
  6. Hi, this is my first post to the site so here goes. I recently took delivery of an IS220D SE + MM in Silver with beige interior. First registered January 2006 with 3.5k miles on the clock. I have been reading the posts regarding the ability to access some of the menus on the MM package whilst driving and also the mpg issue. As regards the access to the menus, I have just received in the post a comment form from Lexus GB and wondered if anyone had raised these issues direct with them and if so has anyone got a name to deal with at Lexus GB. If so perhaps some comments from other owners may assist in having these menus re-enabled. The second point regarding fuel consumption, I am getting at best low 30s on runs but the car has only done 3.5k miles and wondered if this is a new engine simply running in or this the problem manifesting itself. My final question is that I have heard mentioned about 'hidden' menus, and to access them you go into the volume control screen, unfortuantely this does not seem to work for me, can someone give me an idea of the correct way to access them. Thanking you all in advance Jonathan
