hello,im getting a noice from my alternator and im pretty sure its a bearing squeel,would you know if its servicable and it doent seem too difficult to take out ,two bolts ...or am i wrong...thanks for your help

hello,a bit of advice needed ,im after selling my gs300s,its on an x plate with 110800miles ,cambelt,brakes and oxygen sensors renewed ,with mot and tax ...any ideas on the price i should be looking at .....its the sapphire blue with a matching rear spoiler,interior and exterior in v. good condition ......any imput thankfully recieved

instead of connecting the power wires to the reverse light in the tail gate and threading them through everywhere,lift up the spare wheel cover and remove plastic cover ,on the left you will see a wiring loom,cut the tape and the cover will open up in the wiring loop splice the + wire to the small red and blue wire ( reverse feed ) and - to a white and black wire .mine is a mk1 ,03 model.

hello,just got a rx300 se on an 03 plate ,does all rx,s have the buttons to operate sat nav and the error warning of not connected .even if they dont have sat nav...thanks

hello,ive a mk 2 ,2001, gs300 and the interior mirror has decided to play up.it always starts in the auto mode,but keeps dark.i can put it into normal mode but on starting up again it goes back to auto and dark...any ideas ???

i totally agree with the other reply ,it also happend to me ,it will be one of the fuses in the drivers well,i would recheck them and even test them ,i bet my grannies false teeth thats where the problem lies

got three 02 sensors from the states $35.00 each ( with fittings ),pre soaked with wd40 ,got the sensor off from underneath on exhaust ok and replaced,the one on top of the exhaust took most of the thread from the exhaust with it ,couldnt relace ,but managed to get old one back in and the one near the bulhead on the exhaust....just couldnt get any leverage..so my local garage is going to retap the offending hole and put sensor in and replace the sensor i cant get off ( if this one had lost its thread the only answer would off been to cry ) ...was told the one one the cat doesnt affect fuel etc..so that stays... any one had an easy job ?

before relacing mine ( it seems the mk 2 has 4 wires ),can anyone run us thru how to test them using an ohm meter

did you find the one under the carpet ? and am i right in thinking theres four for the mk2 and three for the mk1

yes i agree,but im sure it also clicks when the solenoid isnt playing properly

a little while ago i mentioned that my gs 2001 was going back on warranty for a startermotor fault ,clicks once or even twice then starts.the garage said it stated 25 times out of 25 times with no clicking...it only seems to have this fault when the out side temp.is 4 or below ...any ideas on this ,you may say its the battery ,but after clicking it stats okay...thanks

hello,ive just had 2 lights come up on my dash (2001,gs300 )0ne says vsc off and the other one just says vsc,..cant get either to go off ...any ideas...and i cant locate my handbook :tsktsk:

yes ,a clear coat was put on ,even cut it down a bit ,but stll darker ,its on a 2001 plate

hello,went down to halfords ,told them the paint code (8m6) and they mixed the paint. on applying it ,it is darker : :tsktsk: ,refered back to halfords and the politely told me to call the dealership ,give reg. no. and see if there are any differances to this paint for other models or makes ( toyota ).as they were shut i seek your advise

surely it will only list them as a fault when there not working,not when theyre inefficient ?

sorting out the teething problems with my gs300,and got a 6 month in house warranty (westaway motors northampton,cant praise them too much ),there collecting it on tuesday to fix a small gear box oil leak and fix the starter motor as its started to click now and again ,we all know its going to get worse........but now its stopped doing it , ..these things are here to test us

my mission today was to pull all the fuses and physically test them one by one...........you were right .after checking all the engine ones ( again ),then pulling and checking the passenger footwell ones,i found the culprit in the drivers side :D ....time well spent,must say the hand book was as much use as a chocolate spoon..BIG THANKS :tsktsk:

this is a list of whats not working,gear selector gate (have to use the over ride button ,reverse lights,indicators (hazard ok ) instrument lights ...all ),just disconnected the battery (as mentioned in older threads ),will leave of for the night...any ideas
