  1. I bought a new SC430 back in March 2002. It's a pearl white with saddle brown leather interior and dark cherry wood panelling. I live here in Hampton Roads, Virginia (here in the US). Here are the Features I love about my car... 1. 300 HP, V8, 4.3 liter engine (purrs smooth at 130 MPH) :arrrggg-matey: 2. The touch screen navigation system is very nice. First of all, you can disable the highways and it will take you on all the back roads to your destination. Second, if you are stuck in traffic, click the detour buttons and it will steer you around the breakdowns. Third, entering an address takes you right to your destination in a different state -- yes, the DVD has all of the mainland US states down to the street level! 3. The heated seats (great for this cold weather) :hohoho: 4. The passenger/driver side temp controls 5. The hardtop convertable one button mechanism. B) Gets you looks and compliments everytime you use it. 6. The 6-CD in the dash! 7. RDS rocks to display the song and artist on the radio 8. The cup holders that always come in handy when your on the go and grabbing a cup of coffee. 9. The compliments in the parking lot and gas stations. 10. The pre-set seat and steering wheel positions to quickly restore everything back to your preferences. 11. The 007 headlight washers that pop out from no where. 12. Did I mention them all?
  2. My Tire Sensor Light came on once when one of my Run Flats was low on pressure. I added air to match the label on the inside driver side door and the light disappeared. B) Later after checking out the tires, I noticed they had a max PSI of 44 (not 36). I increased the pressure to 40, and now the Tire Sensor Light stays on all the time. :( I checked the pressure in each tire and they all are at 40. Anyone else experience this? What is the right pressure for Run Flats?
  3. Yes, I agree...I've also had problems with run flats. The Lexus Dealer apologized as they didn't check to make sure the tires were balances and the alignment was properly aligned when I had to pay the $130 to have my oil changed! Anyway, they said I could either live with the tire noise or pay them $380 a tire for new ones. I have lived with the noise for 10,000 miles and I'm finally ready to replace them at 20,000...but I won't go thru the dealer. Run flats run for about $250-280 a tire. Unfortunately, a special mounting tool is needed to mount Run Flats on the rims because of the hard side walls. Although switching to non Run Flats are an option, the damage to your car if you are traveling at high speeds on the interstate is not worth it. I'm staying with the Run Flats...but I'm dissappointed that Michelin stopped carrying the size that fits the SC430.
  4. I bought my SC430 back in March and after $17,000 miles, my tires are wearing funny and are extremely noisy. I took the car in to the dealer who told me they made a mistake at my last visit and didn't balance the tires properly or check the alignment. They refused to balance the tires now until after I buy a new set of tires. They want $390 a tire, yet online tires are running for about $240-260 a tire. Has anyone had any problems with the tires from the Lexus Dealer not lasting? What is the normal wear for Run-Flat tires? I've got Bridgestone Potenza RE730 Run-Flats and they are extremely noisy. Has anyone had problems with tires? Where's the best place to go for new tire replacements?
