Im 19 at the mo, 20 on Thursday with 1 yrs no claims. CIS put the zorst down as a replacement so no extra cost. I'm going with directline when my policy with CIS runs out in May, with me being 20 with 2yrs no claims it'll be £1788. Ive got 2 monthly payments left with CIS, was paying £124 a month on my Corsa and it's an extra £400 for the Lexus over the next 2 months. Chris, i brought the HKS from DocSavage.

Every thing went well over the weekend... Friday - Picked up my Lexus (Black SE) Saturday - Tints all round Sunday - Picked up my HKS Super Drager Today - Got the HKS fitted Lovely car, was driving most of the weekend (Sutton for tints, Cheshire for the HKS) and put £120 of fuel in HKS looks the mutz nutz, would have liked it to have been a bit louder though. Sound system is amaizing considering it's standard from the factory, but whilst is sounds superb inside, when you're standing outside the bass is making something vibrate/rattle (bass setting is 3). All in all im pleased as punch with it... the Alan Partridge jokes have already started at work...

Anybody got any good recomendations? I remember seeing a program on TV a while back, testing different locks etc and which one was the quickest to get off etc - anyone remember it & any results? Ta very much :)

Mines not brand new, it's a V reg - still, not bad going for a 19yr old! How? Working bloody hard! I work 2 jobs (Vauxhall building the Frontera & doorman at a night club). During the week i'll do 60+ hours with 1.5 hours sleep a night when working the door, get to bed from the club at 4.30am then up at 6am for Vaux etc. It's annoying though, because i'm 19 with a Lexus people assume i'm either a mummy's & daddy's boy or a drug dealer... hehe...

Zee - already been down that road mate. My current car is highly modded (Corsa SRi - don't laugh i'm only 19) And NOOOOOO im not a boy racer, i'm a car enthusiast :) I respect my cars. I remember you saying you was insured with Directline, just wondering mate, did your tints bump your premium up much? I was going to ring them up and ask if they insure cars with tints but they must do if you've got them :)

I'm looking to get a couple of bits done on my IS200, would it be best to email them or put up a FAO on here? Anyone got their addy? Thanks in advance.

I'm in Bedfordshire if that helps, but travelling is not a problem. Basically, rang Tint R and they're fully booked on Saturdays until March 15th and fully booked on Weekdays until March 6th - can't really take a day off work for it though so need a weekend slot. Anybody had their tints done somehwere other than Tint R? Any help would be mucho appreciated, ta.

Went to see an IS200 SE yesterday (Lloydo's from this board). Very impressed, first time ive been in one and i fell in love with the interior (Exmoor)! It's having an RAC inspection tomorrow for piece of mind, if all is well i'll be putting a deposit down and it'll be mine March 1st :) It's got 67k on the clock, anything i should look out for at this sort of mileage seeing as it's not under warranty, any idea's etc on what could be on it's way out? Cant wait to get behind the wheel B)

So has anyone had one fitted that hasn't been under warranty? Is this a known problem with IS200's then? Seems a bit strange that a 2000 car is on it's forth clutch.

Thanks for that. Next query, at what sort of mileage does the clutch go and how much would it cost for a new clutch fitted inc labour etc? Anybody had to have it done? Thanks in advance.

Seeing as i'm hopefully getting my IS200 at the beginning of March i thought it would be a good idea to go Gold. I went through the motions etc and got an email back saying my application was being reviewed, so once ive sent my cheque off will i get confirmation of acceptance?

Anybody know how much the 70k service costs and what it entails? Also, can anybody shed any light on when the MK dealership opens? My nearest other dealer is Hatfield but i don't fancy using them but Oxford is a fair way to go for a sevice <_<

I want to have my IS200 by March :D I'm not too clued up on dealerships, ive been looking at various Lexus Centre sites (Oxford, Nottingham, Coventy etc etc) and a couple have IS200's that i'm looking for (price, mileage, colour) but they all seem to be too far away. If MK isn't open anytime soon i'd like to use Lexus Oxford as ive read lots of good things about them, but looking on their site they don't have the IS200 i'm looking for. If i was to goto them, would they find what i'm looking for at another dealership or is it purely you can only have what each dependant dealership has in the showroom? Any info woud my mucho appreciated B)
