http://www.car-stuff.com/includes/secure/p...XVpcmVkPC9iPg== Blue yoke. A full set of 3 OEM replacement coils is $128 from the state including sleeve +shipping

http://www.lexus-parts.com/assembly.asp?id...00&year=161 Probably ignition coil. there's 3 that look after 2 cylinders each. Went through EXACTLY the scenario as you. Main stealer fitted new plugs (£200/ €300 down the toilet) I didn't leave the place and it was missing again. Grease monkey diagnosed that it was the insulation sleeve, which had to be removed in order to change the plugs. The first coil sits on the first plug and has a lead onto the second. Second coil sits on the third plug, has a lead to the fourth. Third coil sits on the fifth plug and has a lead to the sixth. The sleeve was around €10 from the same dealer and was a good result- car is runing perfectly. #90919-11007. There was a rip in the side of the sleeve of my third coil (5th plug) that caused the spark to jump.

my '00 GS300 Sport with something like 100k miles is having a bad intermittant splutter. It's like a bad miss really. You would be driving along and it loses a lot of power and the smooth, quiet engine starts making a flug-flug-flug-flug-flug sound with matching vibration. If you pull over it idles in the same way. It's worse at different times, Sometimes it's a mild annoyance, other times the car will barely accelerate and definitely not uphill. Do these cars still have classic distributor caps? This would be my guess- or ignition leads maybe? My local Lexus main dealer had this car and claimed they'd fixed it with new spark plugs (not flugs!) for €300. I picked it up at 5pm on that day, and it was no better. I about-faced but the foreman was gone home, so I left it again and the next day when He saw it, he said it was perfect. It runs perfectly more often than not now, but it is still not right. Any ideas?

http://beta.lexus-parts.com/assembly.asp?i...00&year=161 what are the chances that i'd be lucky enough that the $16 #48815 is the cause of the rattling in the front of my '00 GS300 Sport? or is it more likely to be #'s 48820B(RH) & 48810(LH). Is one of these known for wearing more than the other? PS, i've just had the stabilizer control arms done on both sides and the ride quality and handling are much improved. It's just the rattling is still there.

both tops are done in the car but i now need both bottoms. i don't know if I will need both parts ie the main swinging arm and it's stabilizing arm but i'm trying to find a place online who can supply them. i definitely need the stabilizing/ control arm and i'm not sure about the swing arm but if they aren't going to break the bank i will get both parts. anyone know where i can get these online?

if the discs are that susceptable to wheel nut torquing i suppose it's possible that they probably weren't given the attention they need. ps should they be torqued from loose or should i give them all a small squeeze first? i am reasonably happy that the calipers are working fine. but do you think the wear/ play in the carriers might be the root problem? or is that just a symptom of warped discs? does this play automatically mean they must now be replaced or is a little wear okay?
-
appreciated. we picked through them when the last discs were done and they're fine

i'm not sure. we picked through the braking a bit, greasing as we went. we actually had trouble with the n/s caliper and expected trouble from that side if any. i think the damage is done to the carrier now and its just a question of whether i have to replace the carriers as well or if the graunchin goes away when the new discs get fitted. if i do need new carriers, i'd appreciate any suggestions as to where i can source them without having to go to the main stealer

hello all. boring background bit :D - if you have some knowledge, i could really use your opinion. a few thousand miles ago i got all discs and pads changed as a result of warped old discs. got spurious new discs and pads all round and had my brother fit them. the car was ultra smooth and quiet for a few days but slowly it started getting wobbly when driving again. it also pulled to the left under braking and the wobble goes crazy. it also developed a graunching noise from the o/s/f. the noise can only be compared to the creaking noise you get from the pedals of an old bike and it is definitely cyclical as the noise slows down as the car slows down. my brother diagnosed the car as having warped new discs. he demonsrated this by removing the wheel, removing the pads and tightening the discs back on with the wheel nuts. as the discs rotated, you could not only see them wobble, you could see that the 'walls' of the disc were actually thicker and thinner in places. rang motor factors and they agreed to take the discs back. however, he also diagnosed the cause of the graunch as being related to worn brake pad carriers and/ or their bolts. he re-assembled the car but left the carrier bolts loose. only slight wobble in steering, no more graunching and no more pulling to the left/ wobbling. he was happy with his diagnosis so he tightened the carrier bolts and the car returned to 'normal'. now the question, chicken and egg- did the carriers cause the discs to warp or did the warped discs wear out the carriers? carriers are a big pile of doh-re-mi and if i don't fit them, will i warp my brand new discs? if the discs were actually at fault and now i have another new set, will worn carriers be ok?

lads, i've had a set of dunlop 245/45/18s ordered in specially by my local tyre center. i wanted to get a little more meat under there to soften the ride as much as possible. knowing it should be a 40 profile, i'm starting to bottle it cos someone has told me messing with the tyre size could ruin the handling. It will cost me €700 to find out. is there any truth to this?

just pull the front part away, it's attached only with clips. two screws on top. two slightly larger screws on bottom. disconnect connections. the replacement clocks worked 100% with the mileage of the scrapper it came from. not sure if i can have this adjusted or not. push front back on. literally, a five minute job. now i can figure out my mpg.

is it possible to use one of those """""digital correction :winky: """"" type services to adjust it? -
hello everyone, this is my first post here. i picked up the car just last sunday. having waved goodbye to the nice salesman, happy there was nothing wrong with the car that couldn't be put right, the cold light of day is dawning that i must now get off my lazy arse and get on with it. i rang my local lexus dealership and booked it in for next wednesday for a service and a good lookover. the only defintes are the front control arms and the clocks. ie, the odometer only appears for the first 30 seconds or so. after this, it just fades away. i also have a couple of annoying dash rattles. anyone out there know what kind of damage these jobs are likely to expose me to?? thanks you all. (will post pics soon)
