  1. I used to go to Q.E. Boys! Its still a good school from what I hear. Q.E. Girls ialways had a reputation for being a bit rough! Henrietta Barnett school isn't actually in Barnet, but in Hampstead Garden Suburb, which is some way away. None of the local secondaries are really bad though. Don't know about the primaries.

I'm not sure I'd go back and live in Chipping Barnet itself, and for sure not in New Barnet (not to offend anyone who does live there!), but plenty of nice places around I would live. Have a look around Arkley (pricey) or towards Whetstone which I like.

  2. I haven't visited this site since August, so I thought I ought to check back to see what was going on!

Nice to see that everythings ticking along much as ever. Very re-assuring.

I'm currently in Pakistan, and will be heading on up to the quake zone in a few days, so not sure if I'll be able to log in again for a while.

But anyway, hi to everyone, and hope to see you again soon!

  3. Had my set up done yesterday - with that and a set of new Toyo Proxes on the car sure feels sweet. I went for a quick blat to Loughborough and back and it was as smooth as I can ever remember it being!

    Big up to Tony :D

BTW - had the chance to try out a Noble M12 GTO today! - OH MY ***! what a car! As sharp as a rapier :D :D

  4. i know where your coming from, what amazes me are

    String Theories

Hasn't string/superstring theory been eclipsed now by the M-theory (which I've heard variously described as 'mother' theory, 'matrix' theory and as 'membrane' theory.

This theory neatly answers the problem of 10 dimensions vs. 11 dimensions that dogged basic string theory, and is probably the closest so far to the fabled 'universal field equation'.

I can't find a simple link to paste from, but I'll look it up

  5. Hows about a contest for JAE who can dress as the baddest gangster or pimp  :zee: :D be worth it to send the pic in to top gear would also be hilarious

This happened once at the Oxford karting challenge a couple of years back (the pimp bit - not sending it to top gear), but all the pics seems to have vanished from the gallery. :crybaby:

  7. Would've been nice to see a GS on the track :whistling:

There was one - the orange coloured car with the Evo type rear spoiler

I think you mean Ken's sorted Avensis! - He won't be happy with you!

But I have to add I think this was the best meet I have ever been to!

Thanks to all who came and entertained.

Special thanks to Bazza for letting me ride,

Especially Big thanks to Kieran, who managed to outperform a 800bhp Supra round the twisty bits, even carrying a passenger! :driving:

  8. You know, Mr Spoon used to go there every weekday, and all he had was a bleach bottle, So I think it is possible

Mr Spoon had a tin of baked beans and a funnel

I beleive that you'll find the BBC attempted to land Mr spoon on the moon in the cold wa r with ITV, , but he was rebuffed by an angry set of clangers, they had to therefore employ sfx to fake the 'spoon landings'. Sad but true.

It was ITV that backed Mr. Spoon's quest

    ;)
