  1. The human body emits radiation of sorts? Waves and energy emission individual and unique that can be measured with the correct tools (eg Neuroscans)

'Energy emissions' if I understand you correctly are things that you measure with electrodes or gamma dectectors etc.

These are neither unique or individual. They are mere "by-products" of the processess that keep us alive. You can use them clinically to infer how efficiently everything is working but they are not communications carrying 'data' to be read.

Scans, as Fidgits says, are mere reflections (or absence of reflections) of things you fire at people.

  2. im an open minded sceptic.

ESP....hmmm yeh id say there is some cause for belief there.

    What cause is this?

Most people have much more 'perceptual' ability than they are aware of and much more than they use in everyday life. These are through the combination of the standard five senses and nothing to do with special powers.

Some people are more adept naturally this or you can train yourself to be more intuitive, read body language, facial expressions, understand non-verbal communication etc.

I don't believe in a 'sixth sense' as seen on TV.

  3. I don't like top gear personally, in particular the way it has evolved over the last few years.

But certainly don't agree it causes yobbishness or should be banned.

Electric vehicles are no better for the enviroment currently as so little electricity is produced from renewable sources.

  4. Jan 20th 2005 - 9 WEEKS - 7,500

    20 - 26 MPH

have you been for a drive around the world ?

Round the world in 9 weeks at 26 MPH  Thats not bad!!

If you were to drive at 26mph, assuming you drove continously in a straight line, it would take a shade under 6 weeks to go round the world. In 9 weeks you would have time for some toilet breaks etc. :geek:

  5. Just tried it  :geek:

Did not find my email contents in the search  :D

1 button for search email  :)

And another for searching the web and it opens another window  :winky:

Here's a link to a BBC story on the issue, though that's not where I heard it from.

    BBC news story

Google's own privacy statement says - "If you have an account, we may share the information submitted under your account among all of our services in order to provide you with a seamless experience and to improve the quality of our services."

I still use g-mail though, being fairly immune to paranoia!

  6. I've heard some dodgy things about privacy issues on g-mail. Apparently, while logged in to g-mail, if you do a google search then your g-mail account info is sent along with the search request.

i.e. google will know who you are and what you are searching for - no doubt to offer you some "search enhancements" (adverts).

I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't happen elsewhere though and its just that g-mail is new people talk about it.

1Gb storage is nice though! like a virtual hard drive you can access from anywhere!

  7. My boss knows a surgeon that does it. The surgeon wears glasses himself rather than have it done.

I know several opthalmic surgeons and all of them wear either glasses or contact lenses. Those I have asked don't have full confidence in the long term outcomes of lasik so won't risk it.

Also I have heard stories of a couple of people who went abroad to get it done with disappointing results....

  8. so any idea why the published pic is darker than the souorce..

One possible reason is that maybe the original pictures are using colours that aren't "web safe". In photoshop you can try and save the pics. using a web palette (under image>mode>indexed colour) to see if that makes a difference to how the picture looks in a browser.

  9. Nice work there Scarface! Quick too!!!!!

Just for the sake of it, I was thinking of a carbon fibre/chrome arrangement, but got no further than this prototype. It's a bit confused and probably too monochromatic for a small screen, but I thought I'd show it anyway :)
