60k service includes:
- Air and oil filters (with new engine oil)
- Coolant change
- Plugs
- Pollen filter
- Diff oil change
- Brake fluid change (I think?)
- Batteries changed in keys/fobs (Optional?)
Service might also bring up other advisories such as disc/pad replacement, worn ball joints/other suspension items.
Thanx for that Kam05... :D

Right folks i need some info and help regarding the dreaded 60K service.....at the moment i dont have the time to look up and sort out the "what has to be done" and "what optional stuff has to be done" ...im currently in the process of moving and its doing my head in...so...
can someone be very kind "and with more time than me" Please, please, please put a breakdown of all the things that have to be done and extra stuff that i might aswell get done....
Its going to be done via LEXUS Dealership so all the stamps are up to date then....its on the "FOR SALE" section after the service has been completed...
Really appreciate the time and effort .....Thanx..Dazz :D B)

You really need to talk to Tony Bones @ WIM.( WHEELS-INMOTION.co.uk )...Inner tyre wear is a common problem not only on the IS200/300 but also on the IS250/220d (but not as bad ) the lexus positions make the inner tyre wear worse and will wear your tyres out quicker......
Do a search there has been plenty of topics on the problem...
As for the tyre noise...it will always become worse when the tyre are running very low on tread depth and near the end of there life. so to speak...

I am looking to purchase a Snow performance stage 2 water injection kit. Does anyone know if the car has or not a MAF sensor? I must know in order to get the correct kit.
The IS200 doesnt have a MAF sensor..( I think the IS300 does)....i believe the IS200 has a MAP sensor....

S***t the little w****rs :tsktsk: really soz to hear about your car Asi ....does your insurance have vandalism cover like Directline insurance.....or is it not worth the money its printed on......?

Just try and be very soft on your brakes dont use prolonged hard stopping...if you go on motorways just ease back a little and gently feather them.......just common sense really...just dont go mad for a 50- 100 miles....

Yes 235 width fitment is fine on the styling kit "18" alloys...its the max you can go up to on a 7.5j "18" wheel...
-
Most if not all cars will have a slight tapping noise when its cold or very cold..i believe its normal as they are hydraulics tappets...the noise should go away after a few seconds.....
-
Ive got some mintex pads fitted to mine.....and yes they do tend to squel a bit not after hard braking but just feathering the pedal as you come up to a junction etc....AND YES the blooming brake dust is IMHO worse than OEM pads....after a couple of days the alloys are covered... :tsktsk:

Well ive had new Top mounts replaced by lexus..i have had new shocks put on,and ive had the boys at WIM check both the top and bottom ball joints and they are ok.... :duh:
-
Get yourself a notebook cooler there about £20 ....if you block the vents up you could end up having your laptop pack up due to over heating....
-
I must also give a shout out to Tony and the boys @ WIM :D as i dont live far from them and i see them about all of the stuff to do with my car etc... They are always helpfull in dealing with problems like my shocks etc .....always go the extra mile to deal/solve problems for you.. :D

Well just an update i had some new KYB Excel-G shocks fitted as i also had the "knocking" noise......and aswell as improving the ride the "knocking" noise has now gone..!!!! :D
Just thought i would update on my update (above ) got the new KYB shocks fitted....and B****cks ive still got the knocking noise...AAAHHHHGGGGHHHHHH does my head in..! :duh: :duh:
Now its either the KYB shocks are ...well....made like that and so they all (old and new ) tend to do it...but not sure.....so if i keep the car and i find some money i will go down the coilover root....or bistein shocks and eibach lowering springs........ ;)

Really nice car matey :) My brothers got one ( same colour ) and on my delivery someones got a really nice black one...i know the fuel and the oil can be really shocking at times but still nice cars to drive.....be carefull in the wet though the car does like to do some rear wheel drifting.!! :winky:
The thing that makes the car faster more powerfull is by turbo`ing the car.... should sort the very low torque out....
-
Mmmmm very weird noise...might be good if you posted it up on the WIM wheels-inmotion site....well to me it does sound like the lower ball joint but it cant be because its already been changed....i will keep listening and try and think what it might be..... :winky: Have you checked the steering rack and the drive shafts...?
-
Just out of interest where did you get your new calliper from Redz_uk...?
