  1. What about a lambs wool mitt for washing? What about using micofibre cloths for applying wax/polish?
  2. Do you use a sponge or washing mitt for cleaning? What type of cloth do you use to apply polish? Is Mothers Carnauba Cleaner Wax any good?
  3. I really like it...so smooth I didn't get the MM those sort of things don't really interest me.
  4. Here's a pic taken in the rain which shows ups as marks on the body work
  5. How long does the Super resin polish last? Is it okay to use bodywork shampoo on alloy wheels?
  6. Is there any danger in using Autoglym products, specifically their Bodywork shampoo/conditioner(green label bottle) and Super Resin polish?
  7. Do Lexus still use the same paint as they did 3 yrs ago? My father had an RX 300 for 3 yrs (04 plate),dark colour and it was parked outside all the time.It wasn’t cleaned that frequently and polished only occasionally and when he traded it in recently the paintwork stll looked very good. Also is there any danger in using Autoglym products, specifically their Bodywork shampoo/conditioner(green label bottle) and Super Resin polish
  8. I've had my 250 SE-L for three days now and have had no rattles, squeaks or any other odd noises. Will it stay like this? If you had noises in your vehicle were thay there from day one or did they take time to develop?
  9. Slightly concerned to read some of these comments as I have just purchased an IS 250 SE-L. How widespread are these faults? Is is just people who have had problems postings but the majority of vehicles are okay? I have heard horror stories about Merc,BMW's and Audi there's no brand that has had zero problems. Ford get good write ups for the Focus but just today I heard of a 6 week old one that needs a new engine.
  10. My Dad's current RX300 is adark colour and is okay to keep looking clean I got another £600 off the price from the original quote
  11. Have ordered an SE-L Auto Brechin Slate was not readily available on an SE-L so I went for Cadoxtan Slate/grey interior.I'm not particularly bothered about colours (didn't want green or red though)
  12. When I went on the test drive I found that the top of the steering wheel was blocking my view of the top of the speedo and rev counter.I didn’t adjus the steering wheel.I tend to sit fairly upright when driving.I’m 6’ tall. I presume the steering wheel will go up higher? Anyone else experience this?
  13. I will actually be ordering tomorrow.I was quoted 2 wks for the Brechin slate SE but I don't know availability on the SE-L
  14. Rain sensing wipers HID headlamps Electric steering wheel Memory for front seats, mirrors, steering wheel Parking sensors
  15. Went out for a test drive today.IS250SE auto brought to my house and I drove it round familiar country and local A roads. Very smooth gearbox, quiet engine, road noise at 60 mph was acceptably low and little wind noise.Enough space for me (6') to sit in rear for moderate length journeys I think.Ride was firm but I prefer this,my father has an RX300 2004 which is alot softer and sometimes feels alittle 'bouncy'.Steering light but not overly so.Rear view was better than I expected but not great. One slight gripe was that I thought there would be more leg room in the front with the seats fairly well back. I think I will go for one, just trying to decide whether to go for the SE-L instead. BTW it's my own money that I will be spending.
  16. Am I right in thinking that the problems mentioned on this forum in regard to the 220d/250 are generally confined to the earlier year models?
  17. I'm thinking of getting an SE with Brechin Slate(grey/blue colour)/grey interior, any thoughts on this colour?
