  1. I find strange this discussion - if you live in Northern Europe you have to expect snow in winter one point. Second - when you buy RWD car don't expect to drive it as FWD! People don't think about that, they like design or color and later complain. Firstly try before you buy sth and READ what do you want to buy! Third - winter tyres are now a must since summer tyres are not like old universal ones in the past. They got extremely hard when temperature goes below 7-5 degrees. So for safety even without snow tyres should be changed for winter ones in all North European countries. My cousin was complaining for his old BMW 318 (21 years old!) for last weeks that's impossible to drive. Finally two days ago he changed for a second hand winter tyres and discovered that he can easily use the car again. I've tried it and surprisingly noticed that it was easier to drive on snow than my IS200 which is equipped in TRC and snow option.
  2. Hi, I have IS 200 year 2000. I've noticed that when sometimes I have to go really slow sometimes (like everyone in suburban areas with limit 50 km/h) on the 3rd or 4th gear when there is 2 rpm low oil warning is appearing on my desk. I've checked oil and it's in the middle so absolutely correct. Do anyone have idea what it can be?? Regards, Jarek
  3. Really incredible result, I can't make better result than 9 l/100km and I achieved this only in Switzerland on motorways which are very strictly controlled by photoradars. In Poland usually I can't make better than 600 km on a full tank which is about 373 miles
  4. I don't reccomend budget tyres. I bought my Lexus with Chinesse Wanli and it was a mistake not to exchange them at the beginning. Result - I landed in a field and was very lucky that nothing happened except a few scraps on my front bumper. In RWD car tyres are one of the most important parts of a car. Budget tyres behaves badly especially during rain. I bought Dunlop for winter and have no problems even with snow and ice. So I suggest not buying cheap tyres, like it was written here - good tyres can safe your life. Jarek
  5. Hi I find the same problem sometimes. I suppose a CD is left in CD changer. I discovered some CDs block in changer, especially with black edge. Check if you managed to pull out al CDs if not you can try to eject them mechanically or go to a service and ask them to do that. Jarek
  6. Hi I'm using mine car in Poland where we have much stronger winters with snowing. My advice is to buy high quality winter tyres. Your problem is typical for RWD cars. As it was adviced try the car on an emty parking with TRC OFF. Don't drive too fast on curves unbtil you learn how it behaves. Have fun on parking! Jarek
  7. Thank you very much, I will seriously consider your tip concerning windscreen because the packer between steel and glass doesn't fit perfectly which can cause the problem. Regarding TTE kit you confirmed my worries it'll be hard to find, pity.....
  8. Hi, I have IS 200 model and recently I've discovered there is a possibility to add TTE kit to improve this car a lot. However a new one is very expensive. Does anyone have idea if there is a possibility to buy a secon hand kit for example from the car after accident? I have also a problem with immobiliser. Sometimes after washing (automatic high pressure wash) immobiliser light doesn't switch off when I start the motor (and then it should). When I stop the car one of the transfer box makes noise. After a few hours when the car is totally dry everything goes back to normality. It was checked in authorised Lexus and Toyota services but they have no idea where the water comes and makes electric short-circuit with immobiliser net. Does anyone faced the same problem? Thanks!
