  1. i've done it! took my stupid blind to the obvious head off and put my sensible head on!! took me about an hour too. changed the fan belt thing and air filter too sussed out the fuel filter too!! fuel and oil filter/oil change in the morning then its just the brake pads and my service is all done! just need to book it in for the timing belt(waterpump maybe too) then she's good for another 60k miles B) all parts imported from USA and fitted myself!! saved a fortune Its a good feeling doing your own servicing. That way you can say "my car has been serviced" rather than "I have another stamp in my service book". :winky: I hope Rock Auto were good to you mate. My stuff arrived very quickly. Ross.
  2. My last order was $80 and I didn't have to pay duty. It was shipped by Fedex.
  3. Hi Barney Thanks for that. Yes, I've now looked at Parkers and at Whatcar. Now have price at around £11,875, but think that's optimistic. A chauffeur suggested we advertise it on Autotrader, but I've got to get photos sorted and downloaded to our computer for that and am having problems with it. Rgrds JEM I wouldn't bother with Parkers or Whatcar, the only reliable trade guides are CAP or Glass's Guide. Glass's Guide is valuing your car at around £8750 private sale or £7850 trade-in. Not a good time to be selling a big V8 I'm afraid.
  4. Excellent. They're a good company with great customer service. International Priority delivery takes 2 days and I've worked out that including shipping you're still only paying about 1/4-1/3 of UK parts prices for everything required for a service.
  5. Your car was built before 8/96 if its the one in your avatar picture. www.sparkplugs.co.uk The part is NGK part number BKR6EP8 at £8.39 per plug. If you don't mind importing from the USA, use this company: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php . I've used them in the past and they are excellent. Select your year and car in the online catalogue and they'll list the parts they have in stock that are suitable. They're selling Bosch Platinum (FR8DCX) plugs for $1.66 each, thats about 90p. 8 of these plugs including 48hr delivery to the UK comes to $40.38 or about £22. I now refuse to buy parts in rip-off Britain.
