Oh yes, our MC Les........ a real pro zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Do you think these posts will be left alone?
I hope so - we're still having a laugh, and I can't see it offending anyone who reads it.
And it's all about JAPS isn't it, including our journeys to and from - all still (however tenuously) on topic
:winky:
So we can all sleep easy in our beds tonight, except for the girl in the MX 5 who is still tossing and turning about what could have been!Sounds like your journey was far more eventful than ours
-
Excuse me Loz - off topic :P :P :P :P :P (raspberry)
You'll be blackballed from the club if you're not more careful :D
-

Photographs on their way as we speak - but takes time to white out all the plates
Something I forgot to add - ignominious end to Sunday - had to be push started!!!!
SOMEONE had left the radio on............. flat Battery Red faces of embarassment hidden by sunburn
-
Yesterday and today was our run-through in preparation for JAE.
First item on list in BIG letters.............
SUNCREAM - large size (all welcome, Ifraz welcome to the club!! :D )
(and umbrellas - well you never know)
Whispers.... is this still on topic??
-
Yup, he does....
But he's just left it there
Funny, they've both moved to the left
Will watch for any advice forthcoming

Emergency Pizza delivery this time - for S***y and the H***a lot (insert "amm" and "ond") Good bonfire.
Met up with Paul (Norkep) who was the only other LOC staying over. LOTS to drink (I think)
Fell into bed very late (early????.....)
Was disgracefully awoken at 6.15 by some utter moron we'd pitched our tents next to (he had a Calibra - who brought him?) He couldn't string together a word of more than 4 letters, but insisted his f'ing opinion on f'ing this and f'ing that be heard across the f'ing field. Matt asked him politely (honest!) to refrain but no joy - so I got up.
Matt however, slept until 9.15, :outforcount: during which time I polished his car (I know, I know.....)
After packing all our belongings (veeeeerrrrryyyy slowly....) into the Tardis that is Matt's IS, I (note, I, not Matt ) drove off to our pitch, where we met up with the less hardy folk (sensible people probably) who came along for the day.
And the sun shone, and shone............ and shone some more.
We didn't bring a gazebo, so had no shade. Chris Shipley wisely stayed in his car quite a bit. Paul (Norkep) provided factor 35 for my boy, Daniel (thanks, Paul)
Loz came to visit (Can I mention him? He only brought his Charlie Romeo X-ray)
:zee: was runner up (boo, hiss, should have won ) in the "Other" category
Ifraz, Gus Woodcock with his beautiful little girl, Tash (2 years old), and a nice chap from Huddersfield made up the rest of the LOC contingent, although I'm tired, so I've probably forgotten half a dozen people who were there.... sorry
It was a super place for a big meet (my first multi marque meet)
Came away with a big smile, and a very red face - sunburned again.
Lots and lots of photographs - I'll put them on tomorrow
-
Wow!!!
Your garage appears to be carpeted...... what luxury.
But having seen the immaculate condition of your car inside, outside and under the bonnet I'm not surprised you cosset it at night
(apologies if it's your living room :D )
-
is there any pics of this blatantly splendid day
There were many cameras there - just got to have a spare couple of hours to upload the damned things.
Grrrr wish I had broadband
(poke yoke....... poke yoke....... sorry, moderator, please delete, that's an in joke........)
-
Sorry, Big G, but I have to disagree with you on this one.
QUOTELexus or Motor related topics may be posted here.
Fairly evident.....
I don't mind - I'll talk about anything :D
-
Yup,
Super day, thanks to the organiser(s)
Great to see everyone, and what a lovely place we found to eat
Took us 3 hours to get back - Friday afternoon traffic, always the same.
What did we do before mobile phones..... had to get my son picked up from school and looked after for a couple of hours while we fought our way up the M1
At least we went up the A50, and not the A38, hey, Loz??
-
Give us a BIG clue then.....
-
go gold and you can get further discount on parts
and discounts on

(lied about the last bit) :D
-
mmmmmm what a super car
Pity I'd had a drop too much to take up Mr L's kind offer of a drive
Next time - I'm first in line
-
Didn't you get some when you got your gold stuff through?
Really classy - not the usual quality left under ones wiper blades
-
steering one-handed round a very sharp, two lane, uphill bend on the way to Halifax.
whilst at the same time trying to open a mars bar, drink a coffee, and read a map.
You've driven past them too? :D

It seems to me that the 40% tax rate has been around for as long as I can remember at roughly the same threshold.
Not that many years ago, the top rate was 98%, don't know what the threshold was, so a lot of the top earners (it was mostly pop and rock stars) left the country - spending only so many days a year here
So in effect the taxman lost everything from them
-
That woudl also mean that smoking at the wheel should be banned, turning your radio on should be band........etc etc
Somewhat already, I know, but I was once stung on the thigh by a wasp whilst I was driving - now that was scary.
(The wasp needless to say died a quick, but I hope extremely painful, death :tsktsk: )
Wildrnes wants to know who remembers PJ / Duncan
