  1. "Objection your Honour!"

"Your Honour, the council for defence, disagrees."

That spoiler is the same as fitted to LOC Member GRiM's IS200 2002 factory fitted Sport spoiler.

You will see from the many photos of IS 200 2002's, that they have a clear brake light on their spoiler too.

    Objection sustained.....

    Objection Overuled!!!

"Sorry your Honour -- Pleading NOT Gulity :P :P "

Fair enough mate, it's just when i went to Lexus ****** to pick up a Lip spoiler their was an IS300 in the outside the Entrance, i noticed this spoiler on it, I enquired about this rather than the Lip spoiler, got told it's for the IS300, but it will fit an IS200, so i got one of those instead...

(shame they don't bloody accept Gold Discount, but i got it with 10% trade discount haha) ;) ;)

  2. Hi chip,

that spoiler is different from the one that comes on the standard IS Sport, this one was made for the IS 300, i bought one for my car, as it has a clear brake light fitted in it to.

Cost is around £240 Sprayed, then £40 for the brake light and £30 for the fitting kit (for £280 for spoiler+light, u'd think you'd get a fitting kit, but NO, Xtra) i didn't bother with fitting kit, one of the lads at local garage sorted it out for me..

    ooops not forgetting the VAT....

  3. Mine used to do that when i first bought it, but gradualy it's fine now, has'nt done it in the the past month, (now that i've mentiond it'l probably start again :alien::unsure:)..

I am assuming you are letting the ABS and the TRC lights go out b4 you start the engine?

If not give it a whirl

I alwys waited for the ABS n Traction light to go out before starting it, it seems logical for engined to get everything in order before you fire ignition.....:blink:

  4. I remember a while ago in a national paper in a top 100 of "naff" -- a lexus with gold badges, sorry about this but i tend to agree!

I agree, but then again, sometimes it depends on the colour of the car, it'l suit a black car, but won't look good red or silver...

what colour is your car Tricky?

  5. hi,

Myself & Si, both ordered ours from Autotoys, it fits perfectly in the existing interior and you've got the choice of having it as adouble din, or a single din with a pocket to go below the stereo..

i have a japanese version facia, the only thing it does not aloow for the two sockets for the heated seats it has a little compartment instead, but i modified mine and it looks standard hehe

and you don't need to make any modification as the heated seat buttons n traction control gadgets (well the full small unit) this attach to the facia plate, the color and the plastic is a good match... :yahoo::yahoo:

I had mine installed will be taking pictures of it over the weekend so i'll post em... :hehe::hehe:

  6. Theres this quy that one of my mate knows, he's just put 21" deep dish (3 piece wheel) on his B**(can't write the make, LOC Legal reasons :excl::excl: ) they were big, got them delivered from the states, only problem is that when if he has any problem with em, i.e puncture then he has to get them sorted from the states again......

But your car is phat, well cool mate... like to see some other pictures of it... :hehe::hehe:

  7. I've got the philips blue vision bulbs - they give a whiter light but aren't any brighter. They were about 12 quid each from www.powerbulbs.com. I think all club members get a 10% discount but probably best to phone to get it - I ordered online and they charged me the full wack. They did throw in some free philips blue side-light bulbs though.

I have just put them into mine (2 weeks ago), they are good and not that expensive, i have noticed a good clear quality light in them compared to the originals...

End of the day it's how much your willing to pay... these are worth the money!! :) :)

  8. Mine does it too, but not always though, one thing i realized is that when you are driving the car at average speed for a while it'l crunch in occasionaly, but after when you have given a bit of boost (say on a dual carrage way 60 to 80 mph) then the gear change will be smooth when you return to the avarage speed.

    QUOTE (simonskippy @ Nov 4 2002, 08:08 AM)

I used to have the same problem but managed to get it cured!!! It never did it again when I had had the Supercharger fitted, the gear change is soo much smoother now. I have no idea why this has happened or whether it was just coincidence.

    Si

Probably something to do with the power level as says 'Si'...

  9. I've got a V 2000 reg, and i'll get around late 20s/eraly 30s, but it's different mpg when filling up from different petrol stations...

Bu major factor is your own driving technique, i realy don't give to much drilling in the 1st and 2nd gears, some people do, one of my mates got an IS200 on V plate and he's always complaiing about the fuel consumption, but he's got a heavy foot..

You have to look facts that it's got 2.0 Ltr engine, a big enough body n it's rear wheel drive... pushing rather the pulling..

    It'l have to do..... ;) ;) ;)

  10. I orderd the late brake light spoiler, cost around £245 + £40 for the clear brake light, it comes already sprayed in that price...

Only one problem though!! The fitting kit for this spoiler is and aditional £35+VAT..

You'd think after paying £300 for it, they would supply you with the fitting kit..

When i went to pick mine up from Lexus Bradford, (did it cheaper than Lexus Leeds), there was a guy with an GS300 already arguing about the fiiting for a similar spoiler for his car. customer and the employee both red with anger...:devil::devil:

  11. found the fault, the drivers side front abs sensor is broken, the wires iside the rubber coating are so delicate, that any slightest pull and the brake.. It's ok that the garage is paying for the replacement sensor...... :D :D

So a word of warning to be carefull when getting your cars lowered about these sensors.. :excl::excl:
