  1. When I got my car the aircon worked fine but when the car was repaired the aircon had to be drained. anyway, i got it recharged a while back but the compressor wont kick in so I dunno whats going on. I posted on this a while back I think but couldnt get to the bottom of the issue. considering the aircon worked before then I doubt the compressor has died. could someone help me? I didnt have any form of burning smell btw like above

  2. lol...I had this very same issue a while back and was scratching my head for a while. its the connector for the motorised adjustment of the headlight mate. at some point in time the headlight has been changed and i'm guessing the replacement was from a jap import. when I was sorting my car out and the garage damaged one of the pair of lights I had, the replacement I got didnt have the motor on the back so I got a cable doing nothing as well. i'm still trying to figure out though if the motor can be added afterwards as I really wanna have the motorised adjustment on both lights not just the one.

  3. Has anyone managed to stop all traffic on the motorway before? Well I did last nite.........

I'd just like to warn everyone to please be extremely careful on the roads as I was a very lucky person last nite and was nearly a gonner when my car span 360 degrees across 4 lanes of the M56 yesterday evening and stopped pointing towards oncoming traffic! All this happened just after 5pm so as u can tell it was rush hour and very busy. Think I hit a patch of ice on the slip road whilst joining onto the motorway then next thing I knew was that the back end stepped out so I tried to correct it but I couldnt recover from the spin. Ended up in the middle of the motorway and coz I've got a dodgy Battery at the moment I couldnt get the car started again so had to push it to the side of the motorway. Luckily all the traffic stopped in time and there was no damage done to the car and I'm ok although was really shaken up. Thats gotta be the scariest thing to happen to me ever!

    So anyway...everyone, be careful!

Also, I know its a slim chance that the person will read this but the guy that got out of his van on the motorway and helped me push my car and asked if I was ok...Thanks very much mate!!

  4. sorry to revive this thread but just noticed this morning that I've got the same problem with my heating....jim did u ever get to the bottom of this problem? my left hand side passenger side vent is only blowing cold air even when the heating is set to hot. all other vents seem to be working ok. can someone please help me as i dont wanna be stuck with faulty heating especially when the weather is starting to get really cold. i always end up with heating issues in winter lol...had the civics resistor pack go last year then its heater motor lol..

  5. Thats a bit too cheap tbh! Something doesnt sound right there at all I'd say mate. In order to fix a cat d quite a bit of money would have had to be thrown at it and well the selling price just doesnt reflect the actual value of it while it was still damaged if u get me. Put it this way...after having bought a cat d myself and put it back on the road, I'm guessing that to get that car and repair it urself would cost roughly what ur getting it at plus repair costs but....something just doesnt seem right to me coz of the cost. its just toooo low. are u 100% sure they want 8k? its not a cat c is it? and can u get hold of pics of when it was damaged to confirm what was repaired/replaced?

  6. Dont quote me on this mate but it may be the earth track. This is an issue which affects pioneer systems where the earth track on the PCB breaks. Its quite a big fix which typically involves stripping the entire unit down but from what I've read its doable. Have u tried contacting pioneer? Is the unit covered by a warranty still? Check out www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb Theres plenty of people on there who should be able to help u as I'm pretty sure thats where I read about the issue. Hope that helps mate. Keep us updated.

  7. After spending 2 gorgeous weeks in gran canaria!
