  1. I would never use part worn or "budget tyres". 4 bits rubber to keep you on the road and stop you!!!! They may be fine but not something that I would ever contemplate.

I have to go with Dave1 100%, tyres are NOT something to skimp on, I know when mine need replacing as I check them monthly and budget accordingly, at 2mm left I change them and do both sides at the same time. Continental Sport Contacts all round on mine - superb tyres.

I wouldn't buy a car with budget tyres on it - shows the car isn't looked after as it should be IMHO.

  2. Meile Cat and Dog model is FANTASTIC!!

I have had mine for years and can't fault it. Which? magazine rate it tops, and slate the Dyson nuf said, they also say there is NO correlation between bags or no bags in regard to loss of suction in top brands.

  3. The OP has an IS200 that is toast not a 300.

Engines sell for the IS200 from £250 - £350, removal and re- fitting can be done by a halfway decent mechanic in 6 hours with time for coffee and probably biscuits.

To put a 4cyl 3S-GE into an IS200 is a huge amount of work and really not worth it at all for the tiny power increase.
