my wife's new LBX Premium is achieving 70.2 mpg. Admittedly she drives like a vicars wife, but has any other LBX owner achieved similar results?

Hello. we have just purchased a red LBX premium and are very pleased with everything.
Just one question please. We want to know how many mpg it is doing when travelling along.
At the moment it is just showing the immediate figures ie 50mpg when accelerating and then 99mpg when foot is off accelerator.
Any advice how to do this in settings please?? advance thanks. paul

Tried to get a quote from AVIVA today. Absolutely impossible .the LBX is still not listed, Told to try other insurers. Asked the agent to speak to the under righters but still nothing
My car is arriving at the dealers on 22th April

Care to share the cost ?
yes the cost will be approx £2000.
There is no space for spare wheel.
Raise the floor, all new panels. wheel and tyre, jack, wheel brace, wheel nut spanner, spare wheel bolt.

Has anyone thought about this? I have made some enquiries,. but the price for all required items is far too excessive.
Will rely on lexus breakdown should we be unfortunate enough to suffer a puncture.

I think you will regret not having a test drive. This is a fantastic new car. Look at all the reviews

Back to the original subject, I cancelled my LBX test drive that was due for today. I’m afraid I consider it far too expensive for what it is and, given my mileage is now less than 5,000 miles annually, I’ve decided to either;
- go for the new MINI Countryman as a ‘premium’ option as it’s very impressive and usefully cheaper than the LBX;
- look at a ‘value’ option such as the Yaris Cross or Suzuki Vitara (which is very good value, especially pre-registered), or;
- buy a 2-3 year old car for cash, something like a Honda Jazz.
Afraid I won’t be sticking with Lexus, despite having loved my two NX and now my RX. As I approach retirement I’ve decided there are better things on which to spend my money than a fancy car that hardly ever gets used!

Hello. Anyone received an insurance quote for LBX ?
-
Hello. My current mpg is 43.7. from 49.8 in summer. I drive like a Vicars wife, always on ECO. and use supermarket E10 fuel.
Is this normal? Any suggestions how to improve the economy please??
advance thanks

We assume the tyres are Bridgestone. These are very noisy. We changed to Dunlop run flats when the car arrived as part of the deal, We could not accept the noise from the Bridgestones. Very happy with the quiet Dunlops , as are many other UX owners

Hello My wife is interested in the new LBX. Her present car is top of the range but all the "toys" are never used.
Therefore the basic model would be most suitable. The dealer has confirmed that all variants have push button start but the basic model only has a manual key to open and lock the doors.
I find this very difficult to accept in this day and age ?
can anyone confirm this please? any comments most appreciated advance thanks Paul

please let us know the results from the dealer. better let them use a spray

Anyone had this issue investigated and resolved
-
yes, mine is doing it again in the warm weather-quite noisy.
Both the struts were replaced last year at dealers under warranty..
Seems like a common issue.
There is no noise in cooler weather.
not sure whether to take any action.

Thank you for the response.
It is only the 12volt Battery they are replacing

The dealer is fitting a new Battery next week to my UX250h. Will there be any of the settings( ie electric seats etc) that will need readjusting/re-setting after fitting?
It failed the annual hybrid test,
Thank you for any responses

Hello,
Just had the two years service. the technician recommended an air con re-gas, as per manufacturers service schedule.
The air-con is working just fine, so i declined. Is it really necessary every 24 months? or is it just a revenue earner?
Never has a re-gas on any other cars i have owned-and no problems.
Your own thoughts please would be appreciated,
Thanks

is this through your own experience John

Hello,
Does anyone know if the Dealer puts new batteries in BOTH keys at the two years service? Phoned the Dealer but engaged.
Thanks.

Thank you all for your advice

The air conditioning did struggle a little during the heatwave. Maybe because the car was in the sun all day. I think the compressor was cycling because the air went from cold to warmer and back again. Just like on other cars when it clicks on and off. but cannot hear the compressor on the UX, as it is electric.
Car cooled down after short time and stayed cool as interior is well insulated.
Anyone had any issues?

Thank you both for your advice. will give this a try when it is sunny again

Hello, this is the message sent to my local Dealer.
"To save a visit, could I please request your advice to resolve a small issue on my UX.
The power tailgate is making a creaking/groaning noise when opening and closing. The car sits in the sun most of the day and this only happens during warm weather. I have tried lubricating what I can see as moving parts, with silicon spray. This worked and the noise went away but for only approx seven days.
Your advice please as to where to spray and what type of lubricant to use would be most appreciated. When the weather is cool there is no noise whatsoever.
Thank you for your help,"
Any comments from other owners would be most appreciated.
Thank you,
Paul
