1. Had to relist my GS300 Sport on Ebay after it had only been on for two hours due to some clown pressing the buy it now and then giving me the total silent treatment. Don't you just hate people for doing this, cost me time and money, any way for those of you that are interested here is the new item number 140397452416 Regards Graham
2. Just listed my Lexus GS300 Sport MK1 on ebay item number 140397196040 please have a look.
3. Fitted a new serpentine belt tensioner to my MK1 GS300 Sport today. I managed to get a pattern part one made by a company called Gates, bought it through my local motor factors (New Forest Motor Factors) it was £105.75 inc VAT and it is so so nice to have my Lexus silent again.Just thought i would give other MK1 owners the information. Regards Graham

5. Wanted Serpentine belt tensioner for my 1996 GS300 Sport MK1 any help appreciated
6. That's interesting. Only Autoleads made a fascia when I was looking so maybe Connects2 have only just started making it. No idea if it is left/right hand drive from any of the lists I've looked at, it would have to be an email to connects2 or the ebay seller I guess. The difference is the slope on the sides of the head unit fascia as it isn't symetrical. You were right just measured it up with my old one and it is for left hand drive :tsktsk:
7. Oh dear it didn't say anything in the listing as being for left hand drive, have a look tigerfish and see what you think, the item number is 260434762009 and what would be the difference if it were for LHD. Cheers Graham
8. Hello Tigerfish That would at least give me an idea if the one i had from you is shot as it would enable me to try and power up my old one and see what happens with that one. I have now bought one of the single din fascia panels from ebay so if all else fails i could always convert to a single slot cd player that is compatible with my ipod, shame though as i like the standard system it seems that the multichanger is the weak link in an otherwise quality setup, still i cant complain too much i had 7 months trouble free from your old one.
9. Thanks for that Dylan69 saw this earlier but seems a bit suspect as the same chap is selling a head unit for a GS300 and he states it is in excellent working order but the multichanger he states untested and no returns mmm sounds broken to me I tried to get mine repaired but apparently no one carries any parts for the Fujitsu Ten multichanger that is fitted to the MK1 GS300 so the only option is to find a useable secondhand one or a complete new installation of head unit and multichanger and being of double din size i would imagine that it would be quite expensive.
10. As per the title Lexus GS300 MK1 CD Multichanger in good working order required for my 96 GS300 Sport.
11. Hi All I have a 1996 GS300 Sport MK1 all was well with my autochanger until yesterday when i tried to get it to come on pressed the CD button and got nothing, radio and tape deck are still fine but the CD doesn't respond at all just stays on the radio when you try to get cd player on. Made all the usual simple checks for loose contacts on the autochanger and all seems fine, any ideas or are there any other existing multichangers that will plug into the existing Fujitsu ten wiring

13. My next job in the new year will be to replace the rear discs and pads, paint the calipers and get some of the Lexus decals from ebay for the front calipers, doesn't seem to be much room on the MK 1 rear caliper to stick any decals.
14. Hi all hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas break, been out de-salting my Lex today the salt seems to love my new wheels, don't panic i have still got my original equipment TTE wheels with the wider rears couldn't resist these though they came off of a Supra import proper split rims with wider rears. I am going to have my original TTE wheels refurbed and keep them as i love em, also fitted new rear boxes from ebay £100.00 for the pair and finished them off with Ripspeed stainless steel finishers from Halfords. Enjoy the photos and a Happy and Prosperous new year to all on the forum.
15. Yes Rick the CD was great all the way home but the traffic was horrendous from juction 13 of the M3 all the way to Ringwood, small price to pay though as i was enjoying myself with both the CD and aircon cranked up.
16. As in the title a big thankyou to Tigerfish for all his help and generosity today sorting out the Autochanger with a replacement for my GS300 Sport this guy is a credit to this forum. It was great to meet you today Rick and thankyou very much. I will have a go at loading the photos that i took today while up at Ricks. :winky:
17. Only had my MK1 GS300 Sport for a few weeks, noticed yesterday that my fuel guage is reading half a tank even with the ignition off and keys out this was after putting in my usual £30.00 worth of fuel yesterday. I am pretty sure that the guage used to return to empty when turning off the ignition, although i know some cars give a constant reading when the ignition is off. Are MK 1 GS300's supposed to give a constant reading regardless of the ignition being on or off or have i got a problem such as a dodgy sender unit or fuel guage. Is this a known fault and if it is a fault and it is sticking do you think my fuel light will come on still to let me know i am low on fuel. Regards Graham
18. Hi all I need one rear quarterlight sport decal in silver as i have part of my decal missing, i also need a front bumper sport sticker but as my car is silver i guess the decal for the bumper would have been a dark colour either gunmetal or black i presume. Any help appreciated Regards Graham
19. Hi Tigerfish the radio and tapedeck work perfectly it's just the CD player that is intermittent i will investigate thoroughly at the weekend the wiring to the changer and amp. If i still have no joy i will contact you about your changer and amp. Many thanks Graham A big thankyou to all on the forum for your warm welcome. Graham
