To answer a bit of your query regarding the pages. The method I use is to create 'copies' of the index page and re-name them accordingly, this way all content you wish to show on each page will be in the exact same position and not 'jumped' to a slightly different position. As to the linking of the flash buttons, after inserting the image and creating it as a flash, in the properties you can either type in the file name, or much easier select the link icon and point to the target file :winky: Glad to see that there are others out there that believe in frames and know how to use them. Is it a requirement that you must use frames or are you allowed to use other methods, like tables and cells?

Yep, Nice to watch someone else work, a DC too :)

I have used Dreamweaver in the past to do my own website, but it was a couple of years ago so a bit rusty now. Not too sure what you want to do, frames are good if used properly, more advanced than the easier/simpler tables and cells giving you much more control. What version are you using I am on V8? Do you have any previous experience or books to guide you?.

We have a house up for sale and the board was positioned at the edge of the property, talking to the nieghbor, we agreed that in the event of it coming down it 'could' damage his cars, I assured him that I would speak to the agent. On talking to the agent his initial responce was' That's alright, the indemnity will cover any damage', needless to say I let him know that I wasn't prepared to accept this attitude and told him to move it, which he did the next day. It may be worth putting it to the agent that he is responsible as the board is his property and he must ensure that it was positioned in a safe and secure manner. Worth a try.

Thanks for your comments. Yes I have been very happy with lexus not only the cars but also customer service (well most of the time).
The RX was a reward to myself for reaching some personal goals in term of career progression, I've now been in current position for 4 years so feel reasonably secure.
I like the RX it is extremely practical for the family, but with the new RX450h coming out I doubt I would get another MkII RX even a Mk II Hybrid.
While it is practical, I kind of fancy a change and have been watching the prices of Maserati Quotroporte come down...
There is a 'slight' difference between the Lexus and a Maserati Quottroporte, the later having the edge though, but maybe not for a family. But I think you've answered your own dilema; but go for the MkII Hybrid and what a good time while prices are down, I wouldn't bother with the RX450.

Time flies when you are having fun. It seems I've had the RX almost 4 years. I got a letter yesterday saying final payment is due in July. I had completely lost track of time and it has taken me a little unawares.
In the current market I fully expect the residual value to be less that the balance outstanding, negating any equity I might have been able to use at trade in.
I need a car, and I get a pretty generous car allowance, plus fully maintained and fuled etc.
So do I
1) bite the bullet pay the debt and keep the car?
2) trade and get another (4th) Lexus
3) switch brands?
Hi, Firstly why switch brands, you like Lexus obviously, so stick to what makes you happy. Secondly, depending on your commitments income security and status maybe trade in and get another Lexus. Finally, you were aware 4 years ago that the final payment would provide you with a paid-for car and no more outgoings, I would be tempted to go for this option for now, maybe change next year or even later.

I am contemplating fitting this bar to my Lexus, as it is advertised for the RX300 98+ I contacted the sellers and asked if it would also fit a 2005 RX400h as the bodies are the same, OR are they. The seller got back to me saying as far as they are aware it won't as the chassis is different. Does anyone know if this is the case, looking at the fitting images they fit where the towing brackets are bolted so there would be no drilling needed.
This link will show you what I want.

Slightly but from those pics above, have they moved the centre console in the RX at some point? On the top pic the box in the middle is further back, on the bottom pic it's almost touching where the gear stick is...........
Nothings changed, it slides.

Hi
If anyone is looking for a list of toyota or lexus part numbers and associated diagrams there is online parts list for Lexus and Toyota.
It also lists prices for some parts in Euros, but i'm not sure how up to date they are.
Fantastic, Saved it in my Favorites folder.

If thats a problem try pristine wheels, they do an exchange program, and have dealers nationwide, I used them, very good job and i'm fussy!!!
Thanks for that, I have contacted the company and asked for a local agent near to me, Chester.

Well if its any comfort, you would be in the same situation a few months down the road anyway, The original finish just does not last, much better off getting a good refurb company to do it.
If it's of any help, I have used the following company in Basingstoke, Hampshire, excellent work, very professional.
'My Alloys' Wheel Refurbishment Centre
Unit 13 Lion Court
Roentgen Road
Daneshill
Basingstoke
Hampshire
RG24 8QU
Ask for Ron or Alan, remember and tell them that Tom Graham recommended them.

Oddly enough I have just got back from speaking to a friend of mine who runs a Tyre/Exhaust business near me and asked about re-furb, unfortunatly he removes everything from the wheel and sends them away, taking about a week in all, which leave me without a car, so i can't use him. I live near Chester so I will be contacting compaies in that area, may even spread to the Wirral. Can't see me having much luck in Wales as sheep don't use wheels here
Thanks for the details though Tom.
Regards

I was told by Lexus Sheffield that it was 3 years and only for the visible faces of wheels. They refused mine for corrosion on the inside edges and produced a document from Lexus HQ to confirm.
Unfortunatly for me, it is on the face of the wheel (two of them), around the central core mainly, I did suspect that it would be only 3 years but one has to ask just incase of a glimmer. Never mind time to start saving the pennies.
-
Told by Lexus Guildford that all models, all wheels, 3 year or 60k miles.
Yes, I thought so, pity the previous owner didn't take them up on it, never mind eh :tsktsk:

Please say yes;
As there is a 12 year corrosion warrenty on my Lexus as standard, does this warrenty include the wheels, or is it only during the first 3 years? The car is a (05) 2005 with 87,000 on the clock and has been regularly serviced, I am surprised that it hasn't been carried out by the previos owner.
Wheels are not covered under the corrosion warranty. It would be a good idea to read your corrosion warranty T & C's very carefully to ensure that you fully comply with them.
Thank you for your comments. I have already read the T&Cs and it tells what is and what isn't covered, but niether section rules in norrules out the wheels, hence my asking the question. Corrosion is corrosion wherever it is, and if Lexus wheels are prone to it then maybe just maybe they will provide replacements. It is not a matter for me to comply with the T&Cs BUT the provider to do so.
-
I don't think the wheels are covered past 3 years unfortunately, you'll probably have to pay to get the refurbished yourself now.
I guesed that was the case, but I thought I would ask just incase I was wrong, thanks anyway.

On my last car (Ford Scorpio Ultima) the Battery was prone to discharge due to all the electrics of the car so I fitted a Solar battary charger to the rear parcel shelf and rather than pluging it into the ciggy lighter socket I connected it directly to the Battery which is a standard option, I also fitted a switch in the circuit incase I needed to isolate it, although the panel did have an inbuilt cut out, this action proved successful. My question is can this be done to a Lexus so as to avoid a flat Battery when left for weeks and even having to run it every so often.

What a pity he didn't 'Fall over' and hurt himself when you were chasing him, maybe six or seven times with him being so clumsey 'Honest Officer, he tripped and fell, six times'
I would report it to the Police, even if they didn't prosicute him, he would know you were on to him and you've marked his card. Maybe when you see him again in the future, he could have a little 'talking to' :winky:
